I just purchased and installed this smart smoke and CO alarm from Lowe’s for $119. I am really impressed with the design and how it can shut off my HVAC system by communicating with my Nest thermostat. The alarm is hardwired but has built in battery backup. Thanks for watching!

I used an Arduino to play music on a floppy drive. The song is supposed to be the Tetris theme but the floppy drive can’t hit certain high notes so it sounds different. Thanks for watching!

Nice! My high school has these but it has “ALERT” lettering and rebranded by Siemens. My high school also has the wheelock exceeder LED speaker strobe with the “ALERT” lettering and well, rebranded by Siemens.

How realistic is this system?
It’s just a hobby system. It’s only in the unfinished basement of my house.
If you are looking for something cheap, I would do a Ms2. Those normally go for around 200
You should have white horn strobe in the hallway
I was thinking about it but I kinda wanted it to blend in with the wall and not be an eyesore.
