Quick explanation for Tessa meat suit thing is that she was dead since she was a kid because if you go in episode 5 you can see that Tessa was wearing the same thing as the cynessa

The cult is dedicated to adore Eyes or Moloch im not very sure which one, irl there’s a demon called Moloch that was honored with kids sacrifices that’s why there’s too much kidnappers because the cult pays a lot for their sacrifices. It’s theorized that the father was in the cult - because there’s a cult dress with the necklace at the attic and the photo of the father is at the cult mansion. There’s another one that says that Ignacio(the mad man of the house) and the mayor evermore are in the cult too - because the mayor has the cult symbol in his building (chapter 5) and always ignores the police the officer when they talk about it that’s why he doesn’t put more police officers because he doesn’t want that they reveal the truth. - Ignacio could be the arsonist who burned John’s house who survived because of the necklace that’s why he has John’s photos as he has some bandages from the accident (btw the translation of Ignacio has connections with fire and the way he wanted to get rid of Skid’s and pump’s bodies is burning them).

The highwayman song and dance is a reference to old animation's use of rotoscoping and in particular performances by Cab Calloway. This one was hand animated though. The person who animated it has a video on youtube breaking down how they did it. Later we'll get another old animation reference. This particular episode's weirdness will make waaaay more sense after you finish the show.

Yoo, I’m glad to see that you guys reacted to the shorts! I have a suggestion that has to do with Spooky Month and it’s the ARG in the episodes. I feel like the most efficient way for you guys to learn it is from a channel called “Mr. WildCard” who has a 4 part (as of right now) series where they explain Spooky Month’s ARG in detail (note that some of the stuff in the earlier videos may be out of date / debunked). The reason why I recommend to check it out is because Spooky Month has A LOT of story being told that is important in the ARG, and that watching it will make the last frame in the montage of Kevin’s short make a lot more sense :). Though all of the videos are about 20 minutes so I understand if it’s not done or if it will take a lot of time to watch all of them lol

This be a weird recommendation but there’s this podcast by Ashley Nichols (the voice of Zooble and CUA on Lackadaisy and Hazbin Hotel Pilot) that she hosts with Michael Kovach (her boyfriend) and Edward Bosco (OG Alastor and Striker from Helluva Boss) where they talk to friends in the Indie Animation community.
