It’s a nice thought, but the right has gotten so wacky that no matter how much history I have with someone, as I get closer to 70, I realize I don’t have the time to waste on people who’s values don’t represent my own. I still have the memories to recall with fondness, but think of it as a divorce. People once loved, now they don’t. Move on.
