Is this a standard range or extended range.
How many hours at that $30 per hour charger, and how many klm's are you actually averaging per charge using the A/C in the summer, and using the heater during winter? ..that would make it possible for me to compare the actual cost per kilometer difference between your new truck VS my summer daily driver, a 29 yr old summer car, a corvette that burns 10.3 liters per 100klm's with its 5.7 liter V8 when driven casually(tho it can burn twice as much if yur foot gets heavy on the loud pedal), and my 27 yr old Ranger burning 9.1 liters per hundred k's in winter with its 2.3 liter 4 banger(always driven nearly full throttle just to keep up with traffic)...
only one hour and not that often, 95% of charging is at home. Air does not affect the range that much, maybe 1% , Heat will kill it if its minus 40, Your corvette costs 16.50 to go 100 kms, I cost 7, But the corners are more fun in your car.

Still like my lightning 2022 long range but at 50k km and needs a module 8 replacement. Thank god for that 8yr warranty

EA is 70 cents a kwh! when you must pay, you will go where it is cheaper. And this station is not owned by Shell. Just a franchise.

You need to recondition your battery before you start charging a friend or get a Hyundai ioniq fiber ionic 6 you'll charge that thing up in about 18 minutes there

Better not buy anything made from 2005 forward. What moves it matters very little nowadays. Canada and the US have already done worse than turn protesters cars off, as to the fly by wire bit that's already happening too lol Ford even filed a patent for self repossessing tech like a decade ago. You can even lock people's brakes up with a flipper and a 5 minute UA-cam video.

The battery was only that expensive because so few were made, which is true of ANY part subject to economy of scale. As to "blood batteries" you know the same people mining petroleum are the same people mining REMs and Lithium right? Guess where the largest known deposits of both were found in Jan of this year and June/Julyish last year respectively? Wyoming and Nevada. EV is here to stay, just not the big 3. You can thank Republicans for fighting the future and Democrats for NAFTA that's going to allow BYD to bypass the 30% import tariffs on EVs once their Mexico plants are finished next year. $25-30k EVs all day long. Nobody else will be able to compete, even Tesla.

Hours? Super Chargers are 20 minutes for a full charge and you don't need to do it everyday lol stop believing the anti-EV propaganda, it's all nonsense. Lack of infrastructure is a big con at the moment, but the same was true for gas. EV isn't perfect for everyone, but for most it is. Know any women drivers who perform routine maintenance on their vehicles? Neither do I. Perfect candidates. If you DO travel long distance by vehicle the DOT and NHTSA recommended rest periods are longer than you'd be charging anyway.
I don't know where you are but here it's illegal to charge per hour, you have to charge by kilowatt hours

Hey, Thanks for the rant! More High Power DCFC sites are sorely needed. I wish for new sites to qualify for any public funding they must be required to be minimum 350kW, capable of charging 800v vehicles , have 4 dispensers minimum and have at least 1 of the 4 set up as a pull through for EVs with trailers. Up time and charge initiation with first plugin above 99% should also be a requirement to access the last 1/2 of total funding. Do you use Tesla sites with the ford adaptor?
Would be nice, but no sites are going to do that, I would be happy with 150kwh everywhere, and no, I do not use tesla as I do not have the adaptor yet.
Any idea on the eta for the adaptor for you?
Ther is one place in Canada that charges work ( most of the time ) and there are a lot of them... Quebec.

Battery chemistry is not affected by wind chill. Look at it this way, as soon as you start moving you are creating “wind chill”

And just to note, the only time I had to use the Ford Pass app to start a charging session was at a Shell Recharge station a couple months ago on Vancouver Island. The Ford Pass app worked great - I didn't need to setup a Shell Account.
you must have a different app, as I just tried a Shellrecharge, Ford and Flo would not connect, had to down load there app. Ford pass upgraded yesterday, will have to see today!
Ford has access to the Tesla Superchargers - road tripping is super easy in a Ford. I did a 3,600 km round trip from the BC Coast to North Battleford Saskatchewan in my Lightning two weeks ago. I used 10 supercharges along the way and never touched the Ford Pass app once - plug and charge worked flawlessly. Also, if you haven't setup your Ford Pass account then you can use the Tesla App to start charging. The only charging issue I had was with the Electrify Canada charger in Calgary - decided to stop half way through the charging session. Had to move to another stall to start charging again. The Tesla chargers in Hope, Merritt, Salmon Arm, Golden, Red Deer, Vegreville, Lloydminster, North Battleford, Edson, Clearwater, and Valemount worked flawlessly. Just plug in and started charging at +160 kW in less than 30 seconds - each and every time. All the bollards have been removed from these sites making getting close enough to the chargers a non- issue.

They tried to put payment in for charging and it won't work, and they can't turn it back to free. I do not care if the charge , I feel the need, the need for speed!
Go for it. If I was a young person looking for a career... there is one ready for the taking. I always thought that this would be the itch in the EV world. Not enough chargers.... too smalll of chargers..... and no one to keep them operating. It is too bad because the vehicles are awesome.✌.
