You do know plot amor is when a character survives something with little to no reason explained,right? Goku surviving his first encounter with king piccolo was plot amor because piccolo himself confirmed that goku’s heart out right stopped beating but then Goku survives somehow, while with mercenary Tao it was not plot amor. Goku survived because of the four star dragon ball he carried protecting his chest and Tao not checking if he was dead.
Almost nobody who uses the term knows what it is. They just say it every time a character doesn't die after a sneeze.
Actually plot armor is basically keeping a character alive for plot reasons it can be explained well or not well as long as it conveniently keeps a character alive from a situation where they most likely would die. The example you used for goku surviving tao's attack is an example of plot armor goku's dragonball conveniently shifts into a perfect spot to protect goku from being killed.
