Team Suzuki Ecstar GSX RR '20 #36 Joan Mir, World Champion - Tamiya 1-12th scale
Finished this beauty, loads of fun building this one! It is the Team Suzuki Ecstar GSX-RR 20 from Tamiya in 1 12th scale. In 2020 Joan Mir became world Champion MotoGP.
Had to do much masking also with masking sheets provided in the kit. Lining up the decals has to be meticulous, but worth the while if done correctly.

BMW 75/5 from Tamiya in 1/6th scale. One of the older bikes from Tamiya I guess. Still fun to build. In the end it fell of my workspace. Luckily no damage that not could be repaired. Underneath the saddle is a bicycle pump (fietspomp), a very funny detail!

Alfa Romeo 155 V6 TI, Tamiya 1/24. An old kit, with old decals which crumbled very easy. Better could ordered a new decal set. in the end it worked out okay. For some reason the bonnet did not fit great. Very nice detailing of the engine and the air inlets on the front.

BMW R nineT from Meng 1/9. This is such a great fitting kit, it can be completly build without glue (which I didn't). Details are intens, like the aluminium (?) tank and backward thing. Great engineering from Meng!! Even Tamiya could learn something from this kit ;-)

Ferrari 312T from Tamiya 1/12. This is an almost 50 year old kit... The original decals were not usable. I used the replacement decals from Shunko, quite nerf-racking, especially all those small white stripes. The red is TS-8, Italian Red from Tamiya. I couldn't get the clour correct on the pictures, any tips? I am using a Samsung S20 phone. And it such a beautiful car... Great to have in my co...

The Yamaha XS1100LG Midnight Special from Tamiya in 1/6th scale. This is a very old Tamiya kit from end seventies. The kit doesn't have much decals and luckaly the old decals were still usable. The golden chrome parts were a litlle "worn", but it's hardly noticable. Great kit to build, hardly any issues.

Minolta Toyata 91C-V from Hasegawa, a very detailed kit. No fitment issues. The quality is great and detailing is immensive. For example: the door handles, bonnet pins are all separate parts. The masking was not faultness, but still very happy with the result.
Mercedes CLK GTR Sportswear Tamiya 1/24 Fullview body, with full view just in the end pictures.

This is such a great kit and the Mercedes CLK-GTR is beautiful! This is the full view kit, but I sprayed it. The shape of the body is better viewable that way. The livery is special, the models don't wear the Sportswear clothing.

Skoda Fabia S2000 evo from Belkits 1/24. Nothing much to complain, the bottom was a little warped, but glueing it to the tub made it straight. Very detailed kit, I love it.

A nice curbstone model from Hasegawa. I did use a gray primer, that wasn't very handy with this yellow colour, had to spray 4 layers yellow to get rid of the grey shining through. The yellow is still a bit to dark. Though it is yellow... Also some craquele in some decals in the front. I must have sprayed the varnish to early after microset/sol I guess?? I Forget the white stripe on the window, ...

Great job ! They're coming back with these clasics now and I have the Renault RE20, Tyrell P34 and the Lotus 78 all with Cartograf decals. I hope they release their Wolf WR1 !
The Wolf WR 1 would be fun! I it will only be re-issues, no real new models.

Beautiful build and the engine blows me away! Tamiyas 1/12 F1 cars are all classics. I only have the Lotus JPS 78, Tyrell P34 and the Renault RE20 Turbo my three favorites!
