Failed late season attempt at getting through Linden lk to Buck hills 10/01/23
Way to send it at the end LOL! Of course I’m laughing with you as I’ve struggled as well going up a rocky hill climb like that. You did great on everything else and there were hazards along the trail that you handled with ease! Way to go!
Thanks. I was expecting a bit of a longer trek that day, not black single track. So I had side bags and 14/45 gears in. Which made it much harder.
Nice work getting that 890 unstuck! Hahaha! I was out booting around on some of those trails yesterday.
That was Marco on his 790. He's about as good on that thing as I am on my 500.
@@ThisTall Oh 790.. yeah I could tell! Riding it like a dual sport haha!
Which trails were you on? We started at Hydraulic lk about 10am
@@ThisTall I went up Philpot around 2pm to Ideal Lake, then across to Postil and down to James Lake. A buddy and I rode down to Arlington lakes and back from Myra last weekend as well. Just been exploring the area on my 501 lately, as I sustained a knee injury last year and haven't been able to get out on my 2-stroke. Dual sport riding is a lot kinder on the body than single track is lol.
Upload at 4K, UA-cam forces it down to a 1080 maximum. Then still plays it at 380 unless you go in to settings.
Is this in kelowna
Between Kelowna and Penticton. East side of Okanogan lk
@@ThisTall are you guys riding this July can I join

Fun riding with you man, you did great!

Love the title for this video. Thanks for sharing.
Glad you liked it!
that looks like fun ,T7 friendly
A T7 could definitely do it. There’s only a short section I’d say some might consider a bit rough on a big bike.
That's not really fair to run Anton's mishap four times and yours only once… Lol
Lol but I got 4x more wet than he did… and it helps my ego feel better !
I also left in the cut of him flipping me the bird for it later .
Awesome ! Love the drone work!
Thanks
I rode out there once and never went back, didn't enjoy the weird unnatural trails.
Did you ride any of the blue intermediate single track?
@@ThisTall Not really sure, it was ten years ago. I'm guessing the trail I was on was made by a tractor or something that doesn't make a path a dirt bike would.
@@samiam247You were just on the quad track than. There’s plenty of raw single track you missed.
@@ThisTall Could be.
@@samiam247check out the bear creek video I uploaded last week for what the black run single track is like up there
Garnet Valley for the win, have you gone back along the Fur Brigade Trail?
That was my 1st time in the area, and I had a guide, so I’m not sure of the trail names yet. I know right in the summerland area we didn’t quite wonder back as far as the dump.
You mean the one that bypasses the highway slide?
@samiam247 no that's way up to Tout Lake Main fornthe slide bypass. Garnet Valley goes from just by the Peachland Works yard to Harnet Valley Road into Summerland.
Looks like an awesome place to ride 👌🏻
Ya it’s alright lol.
Hello! I hope you're doing well. I've just completed a crime documentary project and would love to hear what you think. Could you take a moment to watch the video and share your feedback?
Awesome! But then I don't often get to see myself, so I may be biased. I agree, some (most?) of the best A level parts of this loop were farther down the track. Not sure I have footage either. I did tell Dean that I thought that putting the "good stuff" on the far side of the 100km mark ... "didn't seem right" to me. Not all the A riders would finish and the organizers should be showing everyone the best tracks.... but I also understand they had a pile of challenges to deal with. Thanks, and thanks to GKMA and all the volunteers.
I guess by “best” I mean what would have made the better footage for a video. There was plenty of beautiful, colourful windy trail in the morning, but all that tower hill climbing and the hill climbs after it where I was still doing well, and then filming myself suck wind like a dying fish on those wet rock climbs that finished me off would have been fun to laugh at.
Mud
In mi
Are monster mayhems a good tire
Knowing that I don't have the fuel to make a loop like that hurts >.> damn 2 strokes lol I just gotta be easier on the throttle
A 1ltr backup and you’d make it 100%

What kind of trip are you planning this year?
@@ThisTall No BC dual sport trips this year. COVID messed up the planning.
@@Eean1975 damn Covid!!
I'll be out there this summer!
Cool. You from around here?
@@ThisTall I'm from Ottawa but do the cross Canada thing every year!
HolmiesMotoAdv Nice! Do you take the TCAT or just wonder around where wherever
@@ThisTall I wing it day by day! This weekend I'll be out in Perth, Ontario, a month from now I'll be BC, and a week from that I'll be out East! Haha I'm a Off-Road Moto gypsy 🍻
Looks really nice, looks alot like Sweden, how you getting on with the bike ?
Hey man, doing good. I guess it does look like Sweden cause I thought your videos were from around here to lol. Loving the 1090!! Like more then I thought I would. Need to get the suspension set up for my weight and a bit better for off rd but it’s a great bike.
Kermit Glad to hear you loving the bike. The first year I had my bike I had the suspension set as it came, nice on the road but felt soft off-road, over the long Winter amongst other things I changed the suspension settings to sport. It is way better off road.
My Big Dirt Bike ya I believe you, I’m already a bigger guy to so it’s pretty soft. Mine also came lowered 20mm so it’s extra bad off rd :( Got a big trip planned from bc to Manitoba in a month or so, so it’s going to have to wait until I can grab some moto camping gear and a giant loop Coyote
Bad
Never seen sparks like that from a tire...thought maybe you blew a bead and rubbed the rim. Slow moving for the 1000....looks like ill have to wait a few more weeks to go out
grainmatch You can see the stone that the rim was cupping in the next shot.
I need to go out to a place like this to relax and get some deep thinking time in.
if ur rubicon has low range u should be able to easily pull mega mayhem s or even 30 mudlites even if u didn't u could pull megas no problem
Were they mega mayhem or just mayhams
Big -D not sure, I just know them as monster Mayhems. The Zillas were easily the tire to get for the trail in winter tho.
Kermit ok. My bad. Yea there's monster mayhems and mega mayhems. Just was wondering. Ive been looking at zillas or monster mayhams. Thanks for the info. 👍
Big -D we had 4-5 renegades trying different 4-5 different tires in deep snow over 2 years and the Zillas were the clear winner. The Mayhems did circles around them in this videos scenario but with the same conditions on a hill climb or anything at a little speed like lk crossings in slushy stuff the Zillas were SO much liter then anything with a good knob on it they were the only tire that could keep speed. As long as you get the 30” Zillas or as tall as you can they beat the crap out of the ITP mud lights, Mayhems, outback’s, bighorns And 1-2 others.
Big -D as long as you’re not talking about the mud Zillas cause they are very different then Zillas, they’re just like the Monster Mayhems, both are almost twice the weight as a Zilla
Kermit thanks for all the info. Im leaning towards the zillas.
Great video..awesome trails
76whyworry Thanks
i never seen the top durring the day was that Chrystal mountain ?
gwen mckay shhh, secret, not suppose to be up there
need to invest in those spray wash things you buy at Canadian tire. cheers to clean off machine
some of those puddles are insane
The winner had the Mayhems., if you've ever seen each tire you'd see why.
Who had the mayhems and who had the Zillas ?
If that one doesn't turn into top 3 for the year, it's going to be a great year.
Awesome bro! We get to snow ride once every 3 years or so here.. Lmao
