Solo Backpacking Vlog #8: Sofia & Plovdiv, Bulgaria
In this episode, I spontaneously travel to the Balkan country I least expected to visit at the beginning of my trip: Bulgaria. Given the little expectations I had of Bulgaria, I was blown away by the amount of hospitality and creative culture in both cities I visited.
While in Sofia, I explore the city by foot and visit architectural icons such as the St. Alexander Cathedral.
Following that, I travel on a “first class” train to the city of Plovdiv. Now a favorite city in the world of mine, Plovdiv offered many memories. These included a Graffiti/Street Art Walking Tour, sitting atop Bunardzhika Hill, seeing the ancient Philippopolis ruins, and walking down the longest pedestrian street in all of Europe!
Thank you for clicking on this vlog, and your overall support: Please like, comment, share, and of course subscribe if you enjoyed watching it.

In this this, I am traveling to my third Balkan country of the trip, Albania! The travel from Ohrid to Tirana (TEG Station) was roughly 3 hours. A great value as the bus travel only costs $12. While in Tirana, I take a couple days to step back and just wander through the city before documenting any significant sightseeing. Join me in exploring one of Europe’s fastest growing cities in the 21st ...

Come along on the journey with me to the Balkans, specifically Kosovo, as I arrive in my first country while backpacking through the region. Getting to Prishtina, I travel an unexpected route, flying the infamous SQ25 from New York City (JFK) to Frankfurt (FRA) in their signature business class product on the Boeing 777-300ER. This transit in Frankfurt takes me to Kosovo. Find out how I used cr...

thanks for the video. My wife and I are looking to expat to Albania. We've been researching a lot, and it's narrowed down to 2 cities; either Berat or Korce. Both are so beautiful and full of life. Been checking out your channel... living the dream, aren't ya!?
Absolutely gorgeous presentation man, such a beautiful country!
This is a great travel video. Thank you for sharing!
Berat, Albania looks absolutely stunning! Your solo backpacking adventures are so inspiring-it’s amazing to see you explore such a beautiful place. Can’t wait to watch more of your journey! 🌍🎒 3
Aye man your channel is dope, I’m trying to do the Balkans soon as well after I wrap up my India/Pakistan/Taiwan trip! The nature over there is gorgeous not to mention the history and the women, lol. One little tip I have for you and it’s just my opinion, but consider having more first-person POV time in your videos. You know, less of your face and more of what your perspective is, especially when in an area with nice nature/architecture. Not that you’re an ugly dude cause you’re not, but I feel like a balance of perspectives is key when it comes to retaining watch time in videos. For example, when you were taking that walk along the river, it would have been nice to see what you were seeing and still hear what you were saying at the same time. I only say this because the other travel youtubers I’m subbed to tend to frequently differentiate the views throughout their videos and it seems to work. All the best, looking forward to more of your stuff!
@@ElephantWhisperer222 hey there, thanks for watching and I appreciate the feedback. While I will consider that, this vlog is really just for myself (and a few friends who asked me to document my travel). I’m intentionally not filming professionally, because once I finish this trip I won’t be doing this again. Hopefully other travel UA-camrs will continue to visit Balkans and provide that first person POV. It’s cool that people stumble across the videos since they’re public, but I’m only doing these for my own vault to revisit later in life. Hope that is understandable, but thanks again for the message. I hope the reminder of your own trip serves you well!

Very good ❤

You are Anatolian christian Turk settlers into Southern Macedonia . The Romans gave you your name or you wouldn;t have a name . Stop looking over the fence . Thats why karma has made you broke and homeless . no homeless i macedonia .read the prespa agreement , says that we are macedonians who speak the macedonian language . the word greek or greece never existed in ancient times . looser.
