People who have never worked at a track don't realize what it is like on the backside. They think that they do but they have no idea. It is a different world, it's own little town so to speak. I loved the years that I spent on the backside. Sometimes I still miss it but my body isn't up to the task any more.

I so enjoy your channel. I also love hearing all the stories on the backstretch. Saratoga is my "home" track -- I grew up in Troy and spent all my summers on the lake. Life took me to Maryland (another great racing state) but I always return to Saratoga to catch as many days at the meet as I can. One of my biggest joys is being able to own a small place in town so I can some whenever my schedule allows. :) Keep up your videos! They are so great!

Angel Cordaro was a great jockey. He cheated like no other and used electric sticks to get the horse to run faster. He also would purposely ride other jockeys out into the middle or the outside of the track to allow his barn mate to go inside and win the race. But, he was a very good jockey.

My horses each get a sweet potatoes every morning with their feed. Lots of antioxidants...
