Training New Pastors with the Praetorian Project - 31 Days of Prayer Day 8
Переглядів 28Місяць тому
Here at the Praetorian Project, we believe it will take intentional modeling, access to leadership, and opportunities for growth for new church planters and pastors to be raised up. Some obstacles and barriers to this type of equipping are the day-to-day demands that are already on an established pastor’s plate, as well as possible hesitancy of the established pastor to share leadership opportu...

Will do.
Fort Liberty, NC, is one of the largest military bases in the world by population(52,000 military personnel) and acreage(251 square miles).
So blessed to have the examples of sacrificial living that my family and I have had over the years. Sacrifice for our great country and our much greater God. Keep doing the work of the saints in sheparding those who serve!
You all are in my prayers, I-5 is liberal and anti Christian , you are needed.

God is faithful to His Church! Excited to see what He’s going to do with all of these plants. Thanks for the update, Brian.
May God bless the growth of this Ministry.
Hey, that's me! I thought about hitting all three, but on back-to-back-to-back weekends I couldn't make it work.
I'm watching this video sitting on a plane at the Honolulu airport getting ready to fly to San Diego for the inaugural ManDown SoCal. Thanks for doing this, can't wait!

Great update!
Where do these people claim their authority from. Where they publically commissioned by our Blessed Lord Jesus Christ? Are they guided by a spirit or God the Holy Ghost? What is their doctrine? They claim authority but there is only one Church, not Churches according to Scripture. Why would they adopt the imperial guard of the pagan Roman Empire as their project name? 9) The One Holy Catholic Apostolic Church: by name in Scripture chapter/verse is declared in Acts 9:31, "[31] Now the church had peace throughout all Judea, and Galilee, and Samaria; and was edified, walking in fear of the Lord, and was filled with the consolation of the Holy Ghost." Catholic is derived from late Latin (Universa) via the Greek, "Katholikos," meaning universal. Katholikos comes from the Greek adjective, "Katholou meaning "on the whole," "according to the whole," "throughout all" or "in general." Universa means "for/of all nations" as in KJV Mark 11:17 "Is it not written my house shall be called of ALL NATIONS the house of Prayer?" Thus in Acts 9:31: we have Church: EKKLESIA "KATHOLES" Church of the Whole, aka Church Universal or the Universal Church. Our Blessed Lord said he would found "My Church" in Matthew 16, aka one Church. Thus formally, you have One (Matthew 16: singular unit) Holy ("consolation of the Holy Ghost," the soul of Christ's Church) Catholic (Katholes-Unvisersal) Apostolic (One who is sent, going back to the great commission of Christ to his Apostles (Matthew 28:16-20*)) Church (EKKLESIA). The word of the Lord. *"[16] And the eleven disciples went into Galilee, unto the mountain where Jesus had appointed them. [17] And seeing him they adored: but some doubted. [18] And Jesus coming, spoke to them, saying: All power is given to me in heaven and in earth. [19] Going therefore, teach ye all nations; baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost. [20] Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and behold I am with you all days, even to the consummation of the world."
Interesting questions; I will address briefly. Regarding Authority. Our authority is derived from Christ and Christ alone. If Christ is not our foundation and our head, then we are to be rejected. Regarding singular use of church versus plural. The plural use of church when referring to individual local churches is all over the New Testament. The Apostle Paul wrote a letter to "the churches of Galatia" (Gal. 1:2) for just one very clear example. Regarding our Doctrine. Our Statement of Beliefs is available at praetorianproject.org/about/beliefs/
@@praetorianproject interesting answers, we will respond briefly. In love but we respectfully rebuke what u say in the name of thr Holu Trinity.(Open to a digial Lincoln Douglas Style debate.) 1) Regarding ur answer on authority, this is not biblical, per the Gospel of John, Book of Revelation, and Acts 1-2 and a plethora of other chapters from that Book...particularly Acts 15. Authority is publicly commissioned not privately declared. God the Son was very clear and public how he commissioned his Chruch, and put a teaching apstolic authority of Bishops in place, which are not simply "pastors" or "elders", but the office the Word of God Breathed on. Ur answer is not supported by Scripture or History. 2) The way u self define church is not biblical, even non christian historians would call u out in this. CHRIST founded one visible Church on the Apostles and they Planted Churches across the LEVANT and Asia Minor, and the Mediterranean world as Bishops with the power to bind and lose sins and decrees, orally and written...Act 15 demonstrates this very clearly...as Paul and Barnabas could not resolve the first heresy of Jewish Christians on their own. U are in error and not based upon scripture. 3) its ironic u have a doctrine (self declared) but u are in error...no where in Scripture does it say specifically Scripture is the highest authority...and 1st Tim that u have quoted doesnt say that. Your beliefs are founded upon Men: Luther, Calvin, Zwinglie who stood on a tradition of vice, lies, murder, and grave sins, regardless of what the Catholic Church was doing. And you are wrong about ordnances, which ironically marriage is not one. The phrase ordinance is a simply substituting that word for sacrement and striking out the other 5 because men, not God said so. Some day an athiest or another religion will challenge u on these matters and even more. How can u defend the faith and "church plant" (phrase is not actually in the bible) when a clear Scriptural argument can be made against what u claim. There is no way the 1st Century Church post Christ could have defeated the gnostics if ur model was used. But since St. Ireanaus declared to them "show us ur Bishops" and could trace them back to Jesus Christ, the One Church preserved infallibly by the Holy Ghost, stands, as the ground and pliiar of true. The road to perdition is paved with good intentions, feelings are not facts. Peace be too u. We pray for thee.
@@praetorianproject and why would u name ur project after the personal guard of the pagan Ceasars who butched the Christians and the Apostles?
I'd like to ask the Director and Board to keep Hawaii, specifically the island of Oahu, on their radar as well. 1. Oahu has 10 military bases located on less than 600 square miles of island: -Hickam Air Force Base -Bellows Air Force Station -Pearl Harbor -Fort Shafter -Schofield Barracks -Tripler Medical Center -Fort Derussy -Wheeler Army Airfield -USCG ISC Honolulu -Marine Corps Base Hawaii 2. Hawaii is the most isolated populated landmass in the world. Military families tend to not travel as often for holidays and events and instead rely on each other. This causes the military communities here to be even more interdependent creating fertile soil for the Gospel to spread. 3. To my knowledge there are more than 25 people currently stationed on Oahu who have previously attended a Pillar Church, most of them were members, several have held positions of leadership.
I sit here listening and am thinking how could FBC Lyons host one of these events nearby. May need more insight. Bro. Dannie
Let's talk about that! (not on here...)
