Hey everyone!
This video is incredibly personal to me, and I've gone back and forth on whether or not to share it. But I feel so deeply connected to the final piece that I hope it might inspire others, especially those with autism, to see their traits in a new light. Maybe it will even encourage you to create something similar.
I apologize if the story is a bit hard to follow-I struggled to piece together the timeline. There's so much more I could have included, but I've poured my heart into this and didn't want to overwhelm you.

How did you just add another point to the curve? At 2:19^ Edit: figured it out, just press and hold command (on Mac) and right click. That will be CTRL on Windows if I'm not mistaken 👍

I had trouble with socializing with people back in my school years. I did have some friends, but there were those who would make fun of me. I discovered that I was autistic when I was 15 years old and I'm now 43. Great job Emily!
Heck, I didn't even mask, I was just myself. In college, I kept to myself, but I did get teased by a few people, but at least I would brush it off. I focused on what I wanted to do in life such as 3D animation and what not. However, I wasn't able to get a job in that cause most of the jobs seem to want generalists. Looking back, I wouldn't had been happy had I landed a job in the field back in the day. Currently I'm working on my first game and I clean buildings.
@@jweinrub That is incredible! Now that I'm in university I definitely care less about masking because, in all honesty, I don't really care about having more friends. I care more about making sure I'm happy and I'm myself. Best decision I ever made because I'm the happiest I've ever been since I stopped caring! 😄❤
@@emilyfear I'm still making friends, although I do have issues where I care about what people think of me at times. That's the tricky part. :) Although, I have not given up on my 3D art. I'm still finding my path.

I appreciate you for sharing something personal. I'm not diagnosed with autism myself, but I can relate to not being attracted to parties and crowds, which is just me being an introvert lol And I also share the same sentiment about eye contact. I always find it weird to look people in the eyes, unless the person has a romantic connection with me, which is rare because I've only had one relationship in the past, and I'm 29. But this piece is beautiful!
