My dad bought a 97 vfr brand new. I grew up watching him on it, which sparked my love of bikes. One day I want to own one and make a cafe racer out of it, they have a special place in my heart
Hi! I'm going to install the same exhaust and I wonder - does it get hot during normal riding? I am planning to use it together with Givi Wingrack 2 mount (central and side hard cases) and I'm a bit concerned if I'm not going to burn my luggage during longer trips...

@@glenobrien727 Sedici chicane, I think they are out of production but I like them very comfortable and breathability is pretty good for being a bigger gauntlet

Nah. I have the identical bike. Simply putting a delkevic shorty on it will have it sounding amazing. The equal length make it a bit louder and has a slightly different sound but not drastic

I'm thinking of buying one of these & installing full headers & a delkevic exhaust. Do you know any good air take mods, jet kit & how much power you can get out of it? I love old school bikes & a carbed V4 with gear driven cams sounds like a jet nascar & moto GP all in one! I'm also '6, 4" so would it fit my height?
All the mods that are done to the bike are in the description of the video, but if you want to do a air box mod you can delete the snorkel. I'm 6'1" and it fits me great nice comfy ride.

@@elijahjames5308 you can get some cool intake noises out of it, the power gain will be so small you won't even notice it
does this gen drink more fuel than the 98-2001?
Maybe a bit since it's carbureted not sure about the stock jetting, but since I put bigger jets, a filter and deleted the emissions, I have noticed a slight decrease in gas mileage. But probably not too much to really matter, I'm not concerned about fuel mileage when I go on rides lol. Just trying to have fun

I have a vfr750 sitting in my back yard. Last owner caught it on fire I’m assuming he tried to shoot flames and just ran it way too rich but your videos deadass motivated me to get it running again

I did not have the baffle in when I recorded this video, it does make a difference but not huge

Not really, most parts are used and there is some people making their own plastic fairings and selling them on eBay

@@martinivanov1319 Delkevic is name of the company, the mini 8-in muffler is just the muffler I have on the bike, they have different options like 12-in or 14-in mufflers

Just found your video and absolutely love the sound... in regards to the custom headers, is there any brand that makes something similar to what you run??? would love to replicate that sound when i get my own VFR soon
Black widow headers are the only ones I've heard of, but that are absolutely horrible quality. I've had friends that had bought them and they had to rebend the pipes to make the fit as well as cut and re weld to grind out the insides of the pipes. You can buy them but just be ready to make adjustments to them

Did you change the license plate holder? I hate how the one I have looks what did you do to it?
Yes I did, cut the old ugly plastic off, but leave enough room to make new holes for bolts, then I wired a led strip into the old license lite wires for a light

I have a 5th gen but always wanted a 3rd or 4th gen for the styling and it's the gen that got me into motorcycles in the first place
It's a classic looking bike that hasn't aged horribly, I still think they look good for being 25 years old
