Heinfjordstua is situated in a hilly forest area at the north side of Store Draktsjøen. From 1966 on NTHI was renting this cabin from Meråker Brug A/S. They bought it in 1980. Before, it was a place for lumberjacks and horses. Mevasskoia was bought in July 2018 and was made open for the public in September 2018. The cabin is easily accessible by public transport, and is located by the beautiful lake “Mevatnet”. NTNUI cabin 08.10.2022 Holmsåkoia became a part of the cabin net in 1974 after a short but intensive working period. Before, it was used by lumberjacks working in the surroundings.
