How to crochet a sweater/jumper | How to make a child’s crochet sweater
G’day :)
I designed this sweet sweater for my friend’s grandchild. It is worked bottom up and is almost seamless; the only seams you will have to make are side seams.
It’s for 0-3 months.
100% Acrylic yarn, 8 Ply (or #3 light yarn), 130g.
4.00mm crochet hook
Skill level: Intermediate

STITCHES & ABBREVIATIONS:
St(s): stitch (stitches)
Ch: chain
Sc: single crochet
Sl st: slip stitch
Hdc: half double crochet
FPdc: front post double crochet
BPdc: back post double crochet
FPtr: front post triple crochet
BLO: back loop only
Puff: Yarn over once, inserting your hook around FPtr, yarning over and pulling up a loop through that stitch. Repeat this yarning over and pulling up a loop 4 times (you should have 9 loops on your hook), pull through 8 loops, yarn over, pull through two. Puff stitch is made.
PATTERN NOTES:
* Written in US crochet terms
* If the number is written before the stitch (for example 2 dc): work 2 dc into the same stitch.
* If the number is written after the stitch (for example dc 2): work dc into next 2 stitches
* Work *…*, means that you have to repeat what is written in the asterisk

I have tried several times to get my ribbing to be 32 cm. I can’t get it that size with 66 rows. I also have tried different size hooks. Any suggestions?
I feel so confused right now. Im using a 4.5 with worsted and can get about half of 66 brim before reaching 32 cm. Idk how you got 66 rows but that doesnt add up
Look at the brim, you will see each rib is made by two rows.

You don’t really explain how to end the row after the puff stitches. For the following rows , I’m assuming I slip stitch two after ? and the little stars *…* don’t help why not just put “puff stitch” . Very confusing for a beginner
