Repair 3DO model FZ-1 Part 3 of 3: Replace fan, install front Panasonic face plate, and close system
In this video, I finish the project of removing the 3DO CD-ROM drive and installation of the USB mod by reinstalling the heat shield and closing up the system. I also demonstrate replacing the noisy stock 3DO fan with a quiet fan as well as re-attaching the front Panasonic face plate that normally is attached to the CD-ROM that was removed.

In this video, I show the steps to replace the 3DO CD-ROM with the USB mod by MNEMO. This will allow me to play 3DO games from .iso game files saved on the USB. The 3DO CD-ROM on my unit was not working, either due to a disc tray gear that was worn out or a bad laser lens. Both are very tricky to repair, and after research, I decided to buy the USB mod from MNEMO.

First step in repairing my #3DO model FZ-1 videogame system, which is failing to read discs. Part 1 of 3: discussing the problem & proposing a solution (replacing CD-ROM drive w/a USB host mod by 3DO-renovation). Parts 2 & 3 will cover the removal of the CD drive/installation of the USB hub card & provisioning the USB w/#games.

Halloween morning attempt to conquer the House of Pain, one of the last 18 levels I have to beat on INSANE level. I may go insane trying to beat it, but I came close this time, leaving only 6 pyramids.

I am on a mission to beat all 150 levels of 3DO Icebreaker on the Insane difficulty level. Only 19 more to go. Here is my unsuccessful attempt to clear The Fire Swamp on 10/19/2020. I did successfully beat the level the following day.

I have an issue where mine starts up and then it ejects the disc put it in then does it again. I can't get it to boot up I finally found one with a bunch of games and cant play anything. HELP!!!!
Hi there! I have a very weird issue... My 3do turns on and I can open cd tray. I put cd in but after a bit it stops spinning and I cannot get cd out anymore. So what I do is turn off console, turn on again and (sometimes) it starts working again and i can take cd out. What I also tried is without a cd just pushing open / close tray several times and at a certain point... It stops opening / closing. I tried another working cdrom in this 3do and same problem. I tried the cdrom from this broken unit on a good 3do and works perfectly so I'd say that cdrom has no issues... What can it be? Thanks for the help!

Sorry for the 3-year delay, but I posted the videos of installing the USB mod to replace the CD-ROM as well as installing a new quiet fan.

Finally got the videos up! Now, on to recording my attempt to beat all the levels of Icebreaker and Icebreaker 2 on "Insane" difficulty level.
