I love how over the top gory the game is. Played a bit last night and the way the ai climbs on each other reminds me of the wwz game.

The only complaint I have about this game is research, when your family members who has the knowledge died the knowledge also lost which is really annoying

Just finished this playing through with a friend. There are some awesome reveals and story moments. The ending is decently satisfying with some minor or open-ended quests to do after you complete the main story, so it doesn't feel pointless playing the campaign world once you've finished the story.

The Pr sound in ACM game is better than these two imo.

Everything the game could have been. It completely was not, anything you were expecting, its not. If they had no "Lord of the rings" in the title, you'd never know you were part of a rich and deeply lore invested world like LOTR. It has zero heart, no atmosphere, no stability. The base building is really poor, the combat is worse. Don't go into this game thinking Valheim exploration, go into it with a messy, empty, linear path to nothingness. Nothing stands out, where it really should stand out, no customization, zero stats on Armor or weapons, no enemy health bars, but damage text ?? what!. I can't score the game, I don't want to score the game and I wasted £40.00 on its release. I don't want to hear "its better now" they would have to restart from fresh completely. It doesn't hold a god damn candle up to the games in the same Genre. Sold on the premise of "ITS LORD OF THE RINGS" take that out the name and then tell me its good.

The funny thing is that i didnt even know this game existed until steam. So i just casually finished it today and i was like: Well.......... I thought it released like this.

So once you finish game on the save file can you still roam around and play or is it over?

I'm a bit disappointed because it doesn't seem that fun to me but I do like the UI. I feel like the movement is too much for me.. Being able to sprint in any direction and diving all over the place. It does kinda seem like they are trying to go back to the old ways just a bit though. Maybe in hopes it enables some nostalgia which might lead to more players? Either way, thanks for the first impressions.

Atmosphere wise it is fairly good. Sandbox, building simulator, survival - average but playable enough. It was worse with stability, loading times and fps drops but it slowly improves. 6,5/10 overall, fans of LOTR will like it, others might get bored or annoyed with repetetiveness. Multipaer cooperation is very enjoyable and big part of this game. Community is on a good level, almost all are big fans of Tolkien and are very dedicated. Thanks to the community the whole mark I would give is 7,5/10 or even more, depending on price you paid. Worth a try

Sadly I think its incredibly poor,it feels like a middling game from the 360 era.I gave it around 20 hours and sadly its just a poor game, combat is terrible along with enemy ai,the game itself looks terrible,building is okay but no better or worse than any comparable game.If it didn't have any Tolkien link it would've fared much worse but ultimately its not worth your time.

Enjoyed it enough to not delete. Waiting for a few more steam deck optimization updates but expect to put quite a few hours into it.

I mean, the Anniversary's landscape is such and eyecandy, it has developped a lot. But I've got to admit, I prefer the TLC version. I just love the pure confusion on the hero's face in every single cutscene xD

The biggest thing they could add to increase the lifespan of Return to Moria would be to add a PvPvE extraction-based game mode. If executed properly, it's the change that would bring the largest amount of new players to the game, and keep more players playing for longer. This is true, and I can back that up with historical evidence.

Loving it!! Just got it a couple days ago been waiting for Xbox. Also got Star Wars outlaws, Moria blows outlaws out of the water tbh…

Just bought it on sale. Would pay double what I paid. It's a really well done game, sure it has it's flaws, what doesn't. But you can really see the LOTR passion put into it in even small details like references to Silmarillion content.
