      Solid half day however this was a large group and we didn’t go all the way. Check out the OF4WD club online. They’re pretty handy for trail information.

    Very nice! After touchdown my reflex was to release back pressure and let the nose wheel touchdown immediately. I’m making myself hold back on the yoke and let the nose gear settle on its own. Just like you did. Awesome!

      How many hours did it take you to go to highway 118? I need to do this trail and make my way to Manitoulin Island in May

    • @useryggfdcc

      @@kennegun Started around 11 am in the morning, took a righthand turn. My Tacoma and a Yukon, we went down some sleep rocks and realized we can't go back. Forward we go.. Then we reached a massive water/ mud hole. Luckily two jeeps showed up and after three + hours of struggle we all made it to the top. One jeep lost the front wheel beat....think its the right word. Hadvto change the wheel with jeep standing at an extreme angle. The other jeep burned out the clutch. One of the jeeps and the Yukon had to tow the jeep all the way to Highway 118. We finished the trail 4:30 am in the morning. Luckily we could get a tow truck for the jeep. Without a winch, don't even try this trail. Don't go alone too. Hope its helpful.

      Thanks for the details, I think I won't attempt to go to 118 without a team. Is it b/c you took a right turn towards hwy118 that things got hairy? How was it up until the fork to go right? Would you be able to turn around at the fork and go back towards beer lake rd.?

    • @useryggfdcc
      @useryggfdcc 6 місяців тому

      @@kennegun At the fork keep left. I still don't know how we made the mistake. This was my first serious offroad trip, but what an experience!!! Do bring a spotter without it you looking for serious trouble. No cellphone service at all!!! Need a GPS....we felt completely lost driving at night. I still want to hike the whole trail.

    Two hands on the yoke? Even during approach? A beginner pilot it looks like.

      watch the vid......and you would not have to ask..... // the instructor certainly did tell him the goes and no goes sooner or later during debrefing

    Perhaps a tighter death grip on the yoke would be helpful.
