One thing I forgot to mention is some planning when it comes to policies. For example, If some faculty members think students should resubmit lost work after a disaster and others decide on a more hold harmless approach, that inconsistency is problematic. A policy for this type of situation is also needed. So we should also consider policy development as a part of our pre-planning.
