I Just recently purchase this bike for 400 Canadian, as a home project. Refurbishing this back to its original functioning order will be a reward well worth its struggles. Mine is running and starts like a dream. but thats the only thing that works on the bike.. lol Oh. sorry the head light and tail light work. Cheers. nice to see this bike functioning. I found there is a sweet spot with throttling the bike the bike. Though the bike shows potential to get up to 40 mp. as it stands it only hits, at best 25. How fast is your hitting top speed ?

What carb did you use? Mine shuts down at full throttle

You knew of possible serious trouble, yet took it out and ' gunned ' the throttle . Just a foot note here to make sure. If it blows up , go and buy a new one.

So far I ran some mixed gas through it, with injectors pumping too, then changed back to regular gas, and am running the oil injectors only, and it runs good. Only Problem is I had a mouse nest clogged up in the exhaust pipe, and one coil pack on that cylinder is malfunctioning.

Sounds like she's dropping a cylinder. Get some new plugs in there.

1997 Bombardier Ski-Doo Mach 1 700 : Engine missing on one cylinder, more troubleshooting... Mouse Nest wasn't helping, it was clogged up in one exhaust pipe, yet the coil pack on that cylinder needs replaced now as well.

I have since found out that the previous owner didn't mention the fact that the piston cracked off at the bottom, went around the crank and put a crack in the left half engine case, so I was getting oil from the gearbox, into the crank case, then blowing it straight out the exhaust, causing this huge amount of smoke in the video. The guy who sold it to me is a mechanic for UPS, and this bike has all kinds of issues from how the previous owner screwed it up, and he told me it was a bad oil seal, but was full of it.
