Well, I've never thought of doing that, and I searched about it a bit. Some say it is possible, but in my opinion, the chain's variation range is too large, so the shifting performance might not be very good.
two things: what is the front chain ring? is it 36t or 38? did this setup works with the clutch ON? i see here a lot of chain slack when you stopped pedaling but question is after such mods if clutch can be still used?
1) Using 38t for the front, and It's maximum size I think 2) Yes the clutch is available for use, but it just wasn't engaged in the Vid. Nowadays I always keep it engaged while riding, and the chain slap is significantly reduced!
@@gabrielcaden6916 thx for reply, also question on rd mounting hook - is it stock one or is it something like goatlink to give option to fit on bigger casette?
Is the RD compatible with R7000 Sti SHimano 105 pairing it with GRX 812?
How is it behaving now? almost a year later?
That looks great. Do you think without changing the cage it would work too? Have you tried? Thanks

Sadly, no..... It's just for exhibit
Is it possible to run 11 51 cassette with crankring 2x 26,36t

@@gabrielcaden6916ok il stick to factory what is ur though on Scott aspect 920 2022
I would like to know if this setup is good for climbing?
Yup of course! 38t on the front and 51t rear combination gives you a really good climing ratio.
Is the Garbaruk cage compatible with grx derailleur wheels?
Haven't tried it, but I think there must be some reason they sell dedicated guide pully
will 11-40 t chainring with 118 chain link work?
116 links were just tight fit for 11-51t chainring, so you should cut some links to use it with 11-40t
@@gabrielcaden6916 yeah actually changed my mind i'm using the same setup of your bike
Are you change RD Cage ? With the longer cage
The original rear derailleur was Shimano RD-RX812, And yes, I've changed the cage to longer one(Gabaruk rear derailleur cage)
I've just tried to do this with the wolflink but it didn't work
I wonder what I'm doing wrong
I'm not quite sure about that since I'm using the stock part. How about giving the stock link a try?
@@gabrielcaden6916 it's in the bike shop. They'll talk me through it

Stock one! Bought some longer ones for just in case, but they weren't need after all.
How long chain is used ? 116 link or more ?
I'm not sure how many links there are, but I used Shimano CN-HG701-11 chain without a single cut
Oh It says 116L in the product information page, so It's gonna be 116 links
Garbaruk says that cage is for 11-50. Did you modify anything else or just change the cage?
I just changed the cage, the rest of the components are stock. Seems fine up to 51t.
