Thank you SO MUCH for this video! I purchased a replacement bearing over a year ago - but put off installing it as I thought I’d have to invest in an arbor press or some other specialized tool to get the old bearing out. Your DIY inexpensive hardware store solution for removing and installing the bearing saved the day (and my icemaker)!

When I remove the cover the water valve is already in the off position per your video and I can’t get it to turn either way.

Do you have to descale as well as run a cleaner through the cycle? For instance I'll descale with the Scotsman clear 1 but then I'll do another cycle of IMS III sanitizing concentrate. Is that wrong?

My 5 year-old Scotsman SCN060 motor is all corroded. Not sure it's even worth cleaning. Oh well, it was only $5,000.

Love the ice maker, but I've had several issues with it: •The door handle has gotten loose on us. •The main circuit board fried and had the warranty replace it, but I still have to pay the technician for shipping and labor. •The motor burned up and had warranty replace it, but still had to pay shipping on the part which was like $100. I believe the motor burned up because of the small opening that the ice comes out of. So we took a cutting wheel and opened it up much more so the ice wouldn't bind up and burn the motor up again.

i have a very old scotsman soft ice maker. The ice will not quit making. There is a wire over the location where the ice comes out that when the ice gets up to, it would cut the ice maker off. It is no longer cutting off when the ice level gets to the wire. How do I fix?

SUPER IMPORTANT- make sure you are using a diluted solution. The company sells a non-diluted and diluted solution. The non-diluted solution comes with a cap and no straw. If you put in 16 ounces of the non-diluted solution, the machine will not make ice and overheat. I just got on the phone with Support because this is exactly what I did and this is how I figured out my problem. If this is what you did like me, the solution is is to turn the water supply back on pull the drain plug let it drain and then fill back up with water and put the plug back in. Repeat this step 10 times until the acid cleaner is flushed out. From there, turn the ice machine back on and let the machine make ice again with water. You’re gonna want to melt and clean out the basin after the first load of ice is created. After that, you should be good to go. The technician told me that the machine is very clean and does not need to be cleaned again.🎉

I just got this machine. It makes ice very fast. However we did not get any sleep last night the obnoxious noise thru our house (7 times from 2 am- 7am ) of the ice dropping, was earful! I’m online trying to find out how to change this setting and can’t locate any information.

You say after the cleaning cycle is done and all the lights are off, with the water STILL ON, pull the drain plug and let the water drain. With the water still on it just runs the water through and never quits! The instructions have to be wrong and that pisses me off.

One thing you should add to this video is “when” you add that 4oz of cleaner. Don’t add cleaner until the machine starts spraying water thru nozzles. If you add cleaner while filling it will just go down the drain.
