This thing was absolute junk. It shook the pieces off the board. It was just cute.

If you have the receipt and box then return it. No point in keeping it if it doesn't work.

That's not true, it depends on the bug. The efficacy of ANY trap depends on what bait or trick it's using to lure in what animal. The biggest issue with this trap is that the light is behind the vail. Less strong light throw, and bugs will hit the vail, and not come back to then go around the side and then in the back to then again hit the vail to get stuck... it's very finicky to actually land a bug. It's designed to look nice, and catch things for people scared of bugs as you don't have to touch them. Not to catch things efficiently and quickly. Vinegar will do absolutely nothing to attract mosquitoes or beetles... ACV/water with a toothpick dipped in dish soap dipped in it will work for many bugs in the spring-fall. You only need a touch of soap - just enough to break the surface tension of the water which is just a weak covealant bond. Then they just slowly drown. For wasps, you need to invert a bottle to catch them as they need to drop down ~1.5-2" to be able to start flying. This will make them drop into the liquid. Sugar water or beer works best for wasps in spring, and rotten meat in winter (chicken tends to attract the most - or turkey. Dead bird is what they're looking for). CO2 is best for mosquitoes, just need to slow leak some CO2 OUTDOORS in some brush at ground level. Never use CO2 indoors, or the mosquitoes will win that round. It's fine, I'd get one for a small apartment of for some girls living in college housing, maybe on a boat that sits most of the year. It's got legitimate use cases to be sure.

I always like finding stuff when I expect it to be clear. To have icky stuff on the Zevo instead of flying around or even crawling around is one less thing to deal with. Congratulations on your new apartment!

Trust me. They work. You may need to switch it to a different location. Try the bedroom, kitchen, living room, or the bathroom. Wherever you feel like tiny gnats may be lurking. Moving mine helped me. I noticed that I catch more things in certain locations than others. I usually wait at least a week. If it’s still empty I move it somewhere else.
