I've only just come across this. Beautiful singing and playing! Simon Prager
So sad 😢
I like it. I am going to learn to play that on Guitar and Fiddle.
1:39 we used sing that as kids in the seventies
I'm trying to figure out the accent - EDIT// found some info about her online, she's east Galway/ Leitrim.
Some very sweet playing going on here. You two look you could be related!
Well done in the tradition of Ernie!
Terrific. Timeless. Thanks.
matur suksma😊
Well done I’m a flatlander now but y’all make me miss Wolf Hollow in bald Eagle point on the Illinois river valley where I was raised I miss those hills 🤙
I really like your version, well done.
Well done! Really enjoyed it 😊
Amazing, to be able to play and dance so well simultaneously! Beautifully done.
Wasn't the title Princess Royal invented for Princess Anne?
In this case for another Anne - Anne, daughter of George II, in 1727. She married the Prince of Orange in 1734.
luv it
matur suksma !

Thanks so much for posting this! are there more tunes on youtube with tunes from the complete irish fiddle player - I have sheet music and CD but this is so much more helpful to figure out if i am playing the tune with the right beat and speed, thanks again!
it´s magic¡¡¡
Love your version ! Tired of speed demons.
Love the sound and tone, so natural and calm
Incredible is this Pete sitting next to the Fabulous Lucy Farr
Jenny Lind starts at 1:00
One of my favorite versions of this
Beautiful and (as we're unable to meet and sing together) truly heartbreaking. X
Wow! And thankyou! Your voice and that fiddle are sublime together!
lovely stuff fellas
"tune originally composed by Turlough O' Carolan" - I've seen this claim made, but no actual evidence that Carolan composed Princess Royal.
i see
@@JustFiddlerMusic scholar and folk song collector Frank Kidson ('the Sherlock Holmes of folk song') certainly didn't believe O'Carolan' was the composer and set out in detail why in the Groves Dictionary of Music.
So nice! As time goes on I see more and more fiddlers play with a shoulder rest! we used to use a sponge lol!
Here are the words to Molly, Will You Marry Me: "Johnny, will you marry me ... " ... !

Thanks for putting this, I have the book, and I bought a copy for my fiddle teacher too, and I listen to the cd's in my car, but today I am going to the fiddle lesson to start learning this tune, so I thought I'd give it a listen.
