I feel that the Effie character's storyline just resonates with more ppl than the Deena storyline Effie had more depth to her story arc than Deena to me which is why til this day i love the Effie character more but you can't deny that all of the cast did an amazing job in the film. So much so i couldn't stand Jamie Foxx for a while afterwards! But had to keep telling myself he is not Curtis Taylor Jr. Girl😂😂😂😂😂😂

maybe beyonce isn't the best actress in the world, but jenifer had a very hard life before american idol so she could easily tap into that. where as beyonce has had quite a sheltered life. considering she's a singer beyonce did really well!

@babyboi1002 , finally, someone gets it!!!!!!!!! It wasn't Beyonce, it was the role. The strong thing she had to do was perform Listen. Deena has never been as boisterous a part as Effie but much more could've been done with her on the part of Mr. Condon.

One of the greatest movies of all time with the ideal cast. I can honestly say that the entire cast was born to play these roles. An absolutely gorgous movie with amazing talent.

No way. Jennifer is way better than beyonce! Beyonce is still a very good singer and so is jennifer but they r both good in completely diff ways. Jennifer has a stronger voice yet soothing, and beyonce can put a beat under ur feet with her voice. But when it comes to acting, Jennifer beat beyonce by just a little.
