Welcome back to Icarus! I hope you enjoy my video. If you do, please like and subscribe! This episode is a bit more about base building and gathering materials for the adventures we will embark on in the coming episodes... However, there are some pretty interesting interactions that I have with the local wildlife.

To start off the launch of the channel, I'm hopping straight into Icarus, where we will explore the mayhem of the hardest mode in the Styx map. If/when I reach milestone likes, I will make another video in this game.

Great video! very entertaining! the only thing i would say is to resize your OBS settings to capture the full screen in 16:9 so the video fits the whole screen. other than that very fun video!

Hello, I love your videos. You have a very fresh perspective on Icarus, and I love seeing how other people approach the game. So, the glowing purple area is an Exotics Deposit. You can mine it... extraction. Then send the Exotics to the station as money. Good find. I haven't come across any easy to find deposits. I've had to scan for them. Good luck. I'm looking forward to more videos.

I am so glad I came across your channel. I've been playing Icarus for quite awhile, now, and, since I work from home, watch videos in between phone calls. I've watched most of the streamers who put out Icarus content and they had started to get stale but you are a breath of fresh air. I love your laid back, self deprecating, "Let's go for it" style. I look forward to seeing more of your content. Great vids. One small tidbit. A stone firepit, 100 stone and 25 wood, makes a great early game way to have weatherproof storage.

Another good watch, jokes are getting better but your fighting skills! well we all have off days I guess lol, You might wish to build a little more than a one grid home base as your first new home though. When you put your bed down you will be screwed for anything else. I think I can see your reasoning for such a small starter but even a two x two would have let you get all your other stuff in there before having to enlarge and would have almost got you to lvl 20 at the same. Just saying, but keep up the good work its so much fun watching your progress.

s/joe biden/donald trump/ - at least Biden still has the capability to string a coherent sentence together as opposed to the orange turd who seems to randomly select words and sort of blurts them out in the hopes that when he's done, something sensible may have come out... aaanyway, mayyyyybe... not involve politics. I'm not going to tell you what to do in your editing but it's a surefire way to instantly polarize your viewers and that generally doesn't end up being much fun for anyone.

Thank you for your opinion, we live in a great country. No one is above comedy... Again, thank you for your comment, it actually proves the need for this kind of comedy. It's no mystery that political tensions are high right now, and just because I started with poking one side doesn't mean the other is somehow immune to a joke. Like I said, no one is above comedy. This one feels right to me (pun intended), so I'll stick with it.

@@Aboutadie are you sure you're not secretly a middle-aged Dad because that's some dad level jokes right there... (approved :P) - also I should be honest and say I'm from across the pond in Europe so I don't really have a dog in this particular race, just that I've seen this kind of thing go all sorts of pear shaped on other channels and it's no fun. Anyway, enough said about all that - I'm more interested to see your stone base :D (and you could always build it out of wood and upgrade it later, you can do that with the hammer, does in-place upgrades of building materials. Does mean you need to probably maybe collect more wood although you seem to have an absolute crazy stash of it already :D)

Burning down your first wood base is like a rite of passage. Often happens in exactly the same way. Mine did. Then I realised what the fire whacker was for but it was too late...

Adie+Icarus= fire, more fire. It amuses me on how organized the female species really are. Keep up the good work Adie, you are worth a thousand giggles :) My first advice to you is, "where is the bow and arrows?"

I recently had similarly "fun" experience with fire in the middle of upgrading from wood to stone. The "luck" you were having with the javelin/spear is why I usually stick to knife and bow for hunting. Wolves, "horses", and even jaguars can be taken fairly easily by just walking up to them and going at them with the knife (especially if you start grabbing the knife talents). Make 2 knives and the low durability of the knife is much less of an issue (also use pick or axe to harvest bone reducing wear on knives). What you discovered with using the wind to knock over trees also applies to trees/vegetation on fire. Don't try to put fires out as they will just spread. If you stay away a smaller number of trees will burn. Also, falling the tree is more XP than cutting up. So, unfortunately, the wind is stealing some potential XP. Looking forward to the next Icarus video.

Great video! I like your style and I hope you will make more Icarus videos. It's harder to find Icarus videos with no F bombs or similar. Here are a few tips (if you want them). 1. Starting out, I go for the knife right after the pick axe and axe (then camp fire to cook the meat you will be harvesting). Hunting will help you level faster than most forms of gathering and animals (besides the bear) can be killed pretty easily with the knife. Wolves are the best since they won't just run away (like deer and other prey animals). Wolves also usually don't do a lot of damage. Hunting is one of the fastest ways to level. 2. In my opinion, the best gathering types for leveling quickly is probably cutting down trees and mining. Some people like to use fiber to build bandages, then destroy bandages, then repeat. Making bandages does give a fair amount of XP but I prefer the trees and mining since I know I'm going to need those resources anyway. I can't wait to see what happens next!
