What piano sound is this?!
its the felt piano!
- Dynamics, dynamics, dynamics. Give it some dynamics! Not only is it clearer for the performer, it adds a depth that can make your MIDI composition sound closer to the real thing. - Is there a reason for choosing 12/8 for a piece felt in triple meter? The time feels especially confusing in the B section with excessively beamed 16th and 32nd note runs. - The use of a sustain pedal is perfect for a piece as warm as this, but be mindful that sustaining throughout dissonant harmonies will allow them to reverberate throughout the venue while you are playing otherwise consonant and pleasant harmonies. - For the sake of clarity, use the Led * symbol when writing for the piano’s sustain pedal. This piece is warm, homely, and serves the name tenfold. Notation can go a long way, but your musicianship shows exceptionally. Please continue composing.
@@Name-pz5df thank you so much for the comment!! ill keep this in mind when composing, i truly appreciate it!
@@Name-pz5df also, the reasoning for no dynamics is because most of the time, i compose late at night, so i was too tired to think it through lol. also, im not really sure why i chose 12/8, i think i just did it because it felt right? and also, i feel like the 16/32 note section was very strange but idk, i guess it fit then to me😭

Nice !!!
thank you lots!
this is probably one of my longest taking works lol, i had to take all of the music and type it in myself bc i couldnt copy and paste any of it (personal skill issue)😭
I always do that when I create a new score! I find that inserting note by note helps me to understand the music much better! It's a pain, but it's worth it! 😅
@@afonsodeportugalthat is true! it really does help me understand the way it was all made and what was thought of.
Hey, I love what you do. Great pianist, keep it up <3

dude make it 2x faster and it will sound gut
ill try that out. thanks for the suggestion!
Sounds like a depressed Wilde Jagd, good job though!
thank you! i’m not particularly familiar with Wilde Jagd, but ik its a liszt song, so im honored!
@@polarpython183I called it that because Wilde Jagd is in C minor and has big chords like this one, but this is much slower while Wilde Jagd is very fast. I recommend listening to it, I really like it.
@Deviousahhz that sounds awesome, i’ll give it a listen. thank you!
what was the cadenza even for
@@sk0rza2 it wasn’t necessarily a cadenza, it was just a random thing i wanted to do. if i am writing a piece and i just want to add something such as that, then i do it because that is what makes my music mine. it might be all over the place and random, but its what i enjoy lol.
@polarpython183 cool!
thank you i will steal the chord progression for my sonata
Just like to say that the photo looks identical to my garage and background at that time of day…

16 bars of waltz 1 bar of etude
@@williamshakemilk2192 it’s meant to be a touch etude, but thank you for noticing the waltzy idea!
VERY SPOOKY!! I like it because it makes me feel like I am walking around a haunted mansion. Love the Distance and diminish chords!!
@@sergioreynajr.3367 thank you!! ive never done a song like that improv so it was a fun new first take attempt!
LOVE IT!!! Nice and hunting almost like a Halloween feel!
@@sergioreynajr.3367 thank you! that was sorta in the mix of what i was trying for… some atonality and horror👹
Amazing! The counterpoints on this on is absolutely on point!!! You did a good job at having it sound like Bach. And I hear some borrowed chords which is fun! Keep at it!!!
@@sergioreynajr.3367 thank you so much!
Very lovely! Has a Chopin feel though be mind full of the 22uplets because as a pianist it might be difficult especially on the chromatic section. It has a good affect but a pianist might play it differently. Very good over all! Good harmonies!
@@sergioreynajr.3367 thank you!!
Absolutely beautiful
@@ArthurDye-w9h thank you:)
Dang. You music is WAY better then @Whatismusic123 I also compose I just don’t upload it. But I saw a comment of @Whatismusic123 saying you cant do the quality of his music. Well he’s wrong. Great job keep it up and you will be famous one day.

Sounds very beautiful!
Thank you very much! It started as an idea with triplets and a touch etude, but I made it more of a 12/8 arpeggio and chord change etude in the end.
The change in dynamics from measures 17 to 23 was phenomenal 👏🏼
Thank you!
