New horn-based combat meta - PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds

With the latest patch, the new predominant gameplay strategy shall be to instill fear in the enemy and then exploit their cowardice. Just ask yourself - What World Mad Max Do? That doesn't always work as planned, though.

Stroll down Calgary's Mission 25th Ave after flood
Переглядів 20011 років тому
An unedited walk down 25th Avenue in Mission as I survey the area damage and the work being done to restore the homes there as I head toward and in to my own home on the river edge, which was also flooded. This was filmed a few days after everyone first returned so a great deal of work had already been done.

My fireplace does not have that black knob that turns off the pilot light. Does shutting just the gas valve be enough? It has a electric control unit with a button that sparks the pilot light on.
It sounds like a different design so I can't say. The black knob is important for starting it again. You might have a much simpler design which is just a simple gas line running a pilot light... In which case I wouldn't mess with it. Unless your fireplace is ancient I think you likely have a starter of some kind in there.
“Remember man, every third blink is slower.”.
Hi, our fireplace setup doesn't seem to have the gas line valve. We just turned the pilot knob to off position and heard the bang. Should that suffice?
Yeah that's better than nothing. It's likely there but just out of sight, otherwise there would be no safe way to service it. I just suggest both for redundancy but either one is adequate in most cases.
does it matter if u turn the colored valve first before the black knob?
Not really but for safety reasons related to leaving the operational state clear for others in the future I would definitely make sure the black knob is left in the off position even though the red lever also cuts off gas.
Thanks for explaining about the automatic valve in the fireplace! very useful!
does it matter if u turn the colored yellow or valve first before the black knob from on to off?
@@banderas2000 no. though generally it is always better to turn off the yellow valve first, if there is one.
You'll be alright eventually;
Well The only Cha Ching Mr Wee Walrus will hear from now on is the sound of prison doors!
Great units when they are maintained
try it sometime
good for the goose is good for the gander
The click is the sound of what's called a "drop out spring" that clicks due to no heat staying on the thermocouple. That's a SIT, 880 gas valve. This system is also known as a "low voltage (milivolt) or "standing pilot model system. It's also recommended that if you turn these off after the seasonal usage period, you still light the fireplace once every month to insure spiders do not clog up the pilot assembly preventing the fireplace from lighting the next season. Spiders happen to make webs inside the pilot orface and tube that will not allow fuel out. Most NFI techs will tell you to just leave the pilot on all year to prevent bigger service calls in the future.
Reminds me of The All Dogs Go To Heaven 2 Alcatraz Prison
This is how I thought you do it, but I wanted to make sure I wasn’t gonna turn into red mist. Thanks!
Thank you. I understand how to turn off the main valve, but its hard to turn the pilot to off position. Thanks.
you have to really push that switch in addition to rotating it
My pilot light keeps going out. If I don’t want to use it anyway, can I just leave it out without shutting it and/or the gas valve off?
There's an automatic valve which closes when the heat of the pilot light dissipates, that should work. Manually closing the main valve provides more assurance and prevents line leaks.
@@GregPeden Thanks. Also, does running your gas fireplace run up your gas bill?
Great video, Like others have said on here the video doesn't do it justice hearing it in person.
This is the information I need. Thank you!
😮
The average rider never knew what went on up there....fascinated from an early age....today's machine room...is a bore....Great photography and audio!
When you got arrested for murder the mother.
Thats so cool
Thanks. Exactly what I was looking for.
Great video
Are we allowed to use for sound effects
Yes go for it. Sounds great, eh?
When I was young I was drawn to those whining generators and relays. To this day, I wish I had pursued a career as a mechanic. They are yet another modern marvel.
A very interesting geared traction system with the selector tape, running over the driven sheave. The Otis installations I have previously viewed with geared/gear-less pie plate floor selectors have the pulley for the selector tape at the base of the selector and drive chain. I see these were DC traction with the MG set communicator spinning.
Pie plate selector..
How old are these and what fixtures do these have?
This is a 1970s installation in Canada. It has been a long time since I was there but even then I'm pretty sure the fixtures were not the originals.
Ya veo de donde sacó Dross este "efecto" para el vídeo de Plandemic
i wish the idiot speaking in the video would sit in the cell for however long to be reminded his damn self
You sound like you're salty because you had to go to jail and the person talking probably didn't well that's your fault not his because you shouldn't have done what you did otherwise you wouldn't have gone to prison. -Not sorry.
I ask my dad if we can go to radiator spring on Disneyland and it looks like radiator spring new Mexico
“9:30 Lights out. Guard begins his route”
Were there cockroaches?
I didn't see any but there were rats (in 2010). I would check separately to see if it's still the case, it has been a long time.
dear Greg Peden, i plan to stay at Tartu and i wanted to ask you if you have information about its present look? I really hate mice and rats thats why I am concerned. Thank you very much in advance!
I haven't seen it since 2010. The property owner really did not care about the building at the time at all, so unless it has a new owner I would expect it to still be piss.
Where was this one?
Sorry, it is deliberately anonymous since the property owner has not consented. I chose this installation particularly because the location is so ambiguous, there are many installations like this one.
I remember when I visited Alcatraz and they did that. The sound in the video is incomparable to how it sounded in person. You never forget it
I used a fancy external mic to try to capture it as best I could. But you're right, it's not the same.
Greg Peden yeah. I’m glad we both got to experience the history behind the rock.
I remember the noise when the park ranger closed the whole tier at once...that was a trip. Also, back in the 80s they used to bring tourists into the hole cells and close the doors for a few moments.
@@Vizzini_ that’s awesome
may I use this as a sample for an instrumental I am creating please?
Yes
thank you!
Lights off! Go to sleep, maggots!
Greg I'd like to use portions of your video--the opening and closing of the doors, with that sound, for a class on Forensic Peer Support. It's given at no charge. May I?
Yes go for it.
People acually play this game? I thought this died a long time ago hmm maybe i should play it again
Can I use this in a commercial?
I don't think this should be used in anything for commercial purposes. I took the video however we don't have permission from Alcatraz.
@@GregPeden fucking douchebag
Is this single or single corner?
Single, not corner. Also note it's from 6 years ago, who knows if it's the same.
I hope they renovated it
Can you have someone stay over?
I think formally no but in reality no one is going to care.
Oh, except the room and bed are very tiny. So good luck with that.
hahah more cuddles hahah
+Charles On 750 , 800 for a corner room it's much better
May I use a modified version of this video in a PSA I am entering in a PSA contest?
+Car and Road Man Yes please do. Just link back to this video in your references listing or whatever it is you have to do for your contest.
+Greg Peden Thank you so much. I will give you credit if the guidelines allow me to do so.
What eljando matoshi is saying is true
This is the first one I've seen with the selector tape running over the main sheave.
kansasthunderman1 Most of these low-rise geared installations do / did that. It just acts as a geometric deflector for the tape to get it to that little pie plate selector inside the controller. The tape will slip over the hoist sheave with ease, in fact on every stop the tape will wiggle back and forth a little bit over the hoist sheave. This installation is all about being as compact as possible given the technology available at the time.
