Western Reserve Chorale- March 24, 2019
I grew up in Cleveland Heights and University Heights and rehearsed with the Heights Choir in that very church.
WRC has had more than a few Heights Choir alumni among its members, myself (Stacy Newman) included.
Thank you for performing 2 of my compositions!
Your pieces were fun to sing and a great addition to the Chanukah repertoire. We look forward to performing more of your compositions in the future!
Thanks again!
A Breathtaking Spectacle. Coral's performance was nothing short of astonishing. Every note, every movement, every emotion was executed with precision and passion. Their brilliance and beauty overflowed, captivating the audience and leaving a lasting impression.
Thank you so much, Tom. We appreciate your kind words. This concert was an absolute delight to perform!
My great Friend Jane Richmond sings in this wonderful Chorale!!
Bravo!
2 years later, & we're still playing it on repeat for her, lol.
Not to go "besides that, how was the play, Mrs Lincoln?" but fortunately that poor fellow only fainted & is fine now, so its not too terrible to say that the concert was lovely otherwise. Hope the cause was an aberration for him & that he feels up to singing with you all again next year. 🙂
Loved this! The direction was hopeful and exuberant rather than the usual solemn and ponderous. Congratulations to you all.
Thank you, Bobbie. It was a joy to sing this piece. The arrangement for chamber orchestra brought the perfect balance.
i have watched you guys perform this song 3 times in as many days, just because this is such an awesome one. (one live in person, one live online at the other venue, and this time. )🌟
If you're watching the unedited live feed later, Dave Bell, the chorale board pres, gives some information starting at about 22:45 & the music starts at about 27:15
Beautiful, as always. 🙂 And here's me, having watched the Friday concert in person, watching again live on line, lol.
So glad you enjoyed it! The edited video came out beautifully too.
👏👏👏👏👏
Hey, you lot look familiar ;) I do love the Pinkham cantata. You guys did a great job as always. Dear gods, the rain when we came in was _crazy_. Never mind pouring cats and dogs, it was pouring elephants and blue whales! 🐘🐘🐋🐋
It could have been snow! The Pinkham Cantata is a joy to sing. Look for us in your neighborhood in March.
@@westernreservechorale a little birdie suggested that might happen :)
@@westernreservechorale Depends on the snow!
wonderful gifted musicians. thx for this gift!
So glad you enjoyed the concert. Happy Holidays!
Watch #3, because I'm partial. Did anyone else notice that the kids were singing The Wellerman when ya'll were singing the refrain at the picnic? They were good and did not at the concert. Must've been a major struggle. lol
Absolutely lovely
Bravo! Spotted my sweet niece Katherine right off!! Wonderful experience!!
Lovely and Uplifting...
So glad you enjoyed the concert. It's wonderful that these Requiems can be uplifting rather than heavy.
I love it!
Thank you. It was a joy to sing!
Played this and Bry's 9yo started singing a bit from Carols and Lullabies. Usually it's the 6yo. I don't think he was actually listening, just osmosis, lol
Oh, Ki Hineih's so beautiful! All of it is, of course, but that one in particular
Bry's 6yo nearly has this memorized. She wants it on repeat all the time, lol.
Lovely! It was quite hard to hear in the "crying room" so this is the first time I'm truly hearing it. Only David's mic was piped in, not the choir. Hopefully our kids will be more chill for the next concert so we can hear it properly.
exquisite...thank you
How wonderful to hear us all together! Here’s to September.
Rachelle Neher 1 second ago This was wonderful! The voices in harmony and searing out strongly with words from poets and the visual montage was beautifully done. I am so proud we have all of you willing to try this virtual experience in solitude, Well done and a mini vacation for me! I thank you and look forward to your concerts in the very near future.
We look forward to seeing you too, Rachelle! Thanks for being in our audience from home.
I really enjoyed singing with this group. I learned new inspiring songs. The concert sounds so enriching, thank you for allowing my voice to blend in. Janet Thompson
I am so glad you joined us for this crazy season, Janet. I hope you will stick with it when we return to rehearsals in September.
