I am new to the layer cakes, but love them now - so that is my new choice!

I would rather have a layer cake as I think it’s more versatile to use different ways.

I would rather layer cake! I've gotten a little tired of jelly rolls, but there are definitely some fantastic patterns for them!

I find both layer cakes and strips useful, but if I had to choose, it would be a layer cake. I can get four 10” strips, which equals a jelly roll strip from one layer cake squares. Or I can get 3”, 4”, 5” etc from one layer cake square. It’s rare that I would need a strip longer than 10”, so a layer cake is very versatile. Truth be told, FQ bundles are my favorite precut!

I just finished a Halloween quilt for my daughter. I still have 1 fall table runner and 1 fall lap quilt to do. My Christmas quilt I will get started on the 1 st of October if all goes well.

Yes I am working on Christmas gifts. Yesterday I finished a twin quilt, ready for my longarmer. Today I will start a couple of wall quilts, and I will be making some runners and table toppers. Busy, busy! 🙂

I’m working on 3 different quilts to be given as Christmas presents. If I get bored with one I go to another. Maybe I’m ADD? 😊
