Bamboo Bursting is a St. Lucian tradition that marks the beginning of the creole season and Christmas. The Bamboo is used to form an 'air cannon', whose sound can be heard from miles away. This young man from Micoud demonstrates how to properly burst bamboo and why he is the best.

I visited my country of St Lucia in the first week of January 2022. It dawned on me that there are many Saint Lucian nationals who are living overseas who have not returned home in many years. I decided to do a video tour of my community of Micoud village to curb the nostalgia. A special thanks to my cousin Malachi Fanus who assisted me on this. I hope you guy enjoy it. Please share.
