Cairo : Walk through Garbage City to St Simon The Tanner Monastery
My taxi dropped me off at the City of the Dead. Then I just crossed El Nasr road and walked through Garbage City to St Simon The Tanner Monastery. Sometimes it was not easy to find my way despite the GPS but I asked for direction and it was a great way to communicate with people.
St Simon The Tanner Monastery is the largest church in the Middle East and the largest religious building in Egypt. It's a complex of coptic churches all built into caves on the escarpment of the Mokattam hills above Manshiyet Nasr district.
Manshiyet Nasr, sometimes called "the Christian Surburb" is famous for Garbage City neighbourhood, where Cairo's garbage is collected and recycled by the coptic christian Zaraeeb community, commonly called "Zabbaleen" (Garbage People). This poor community makes a living by collecting garbage, recycling salvaged materials and feeding the organic waste to their pigs. They recycle approximately 80% of the waste they collect whereas most western garbage collecting companies only recycle 30% of the waste they collect. Their recycling methods have been recognized as among most efficient in the world. In the past , the government of Egypt sold annual contracts for garbage collection to 3 international companies seriously threatening the Zaraeeb's livelihood. But it failed, the Zabbaleen garbage collection methods were by far the most effective.

Hi Jessica ! I remember That I saw lots of fish and turtle in Balicasag. It was not so abundant in Coron but Coron is more beautiful with amazing lagoons, islands and beaches. If you want to see underwater life go to Balicasag, if you want to see paradise go to Coron ! 1:35 Cabilao Island (lots of fish and beautiful corals) 2:24 Balicasag Island I know the choice is hard

Merci pour ton message Erwan ! Eh oui c'est un sport tellement technique... Si je peux te donner un conseil, filme toi ou fais évaluer ta nage régulièrement par un maître nageur, même si tes sensations sont bonnes. Des fois les sensations sont trompeuses, les défauts arrivent vite et sont très difficiles à gommer. Continue de persévérer, ça va payer !
Superbe 👍 J'y pensais, tu l'a fait, bravo 👏 Depuis des années je passe par la-bas de St trop à Cannes et je trouve crtte endroit fabuleux. Après une séance masque et palme vers Saint Mandrier fin Juillet que j'ai adoré j'ai penser au cote magique de l'estérel. Ce soir après avoir visionner de superbe vidéos sur youtube en lac et fleuve j'ai taper plongée, estérel, tuba et te voila abracadabra 🧞♂️ Merci d'avoir pris le temps de faire, monter et diffuser cette vidéo avec un très bon choix musical 👍 une visu drone ou a moindre coup plus abordable une vue du plus haut des collines tant cette vue est magnifique rajouterai de la féerie a ce lieu pour ceux qui ne connaissent pas Merci bcp et bonne ballade en mer 🐠 Ca donne envie 😋

Pour le drone tu as raison ça apporterait plus de magie et d'émerveillement. Tu peux visionner ma vidéo faite juste avant "le massif de l'Estérel" où j'ai pris un peu de hauteur (sans drone).
