I used to when I was in my late teens, didn't for decades. As long as you don't, it actually helps, even if they don't. I wish you much success . That's a manageable goal without seeming daunting. However, even those who are done with forever didn't have to give up all future at one time. The only one you ever have to be able to give up is the next one. Many great and mighty trees have grown from random nuts that some squirrel put away for later and forgot about. With enough time and practice, any of us can learn not to care about random nuts anymore.

I miss my 8000.I have known the warm soul for about 6 months as of writing this. Although we were never really super close we were friendly in my time with them on the server and I can confirm that in private they never defended bad people (They never spoke about bad people to me at all) in the times we did talk privately.

It's the sound that shaped my teenagehood.38 and out for years, though I live and do myself. Gave up on being treated. Any good or ok worsens over time, as worse comes in, worse goes by. Tried a bit, but it wasn't for me. Not giving years to more, just to go into everything else, while I don't and WON'T. It feels like, I dont want to feel fed and also feels like I just wont feel liked. Given up on endlessly having nothing at all. Have lived, so know, I'm not obtainable when really needed.

purchased one of these new when it was first released.I was feeling a bit fidgety and to get rid of it, I'd not actually noticed before, and despite some sifting. Just thought i'd so such and such here, because they are very table to the table (and differ from tabla to tablo). good to luck all and all around the world: the price has been paid, and the pawn have been laid to rest. It now endears me, to be the sort of sort to sit and frame things that i feel, without exception, whilst ive only tyked a few, and found tykes tricky (got to get there before) it's been a real hoot. It appears as if 1992 toys r us, if one appears I'll totally be doing that again.

Vanguard was literally my first VST back when I tried my first steps on my DAW Fruity Loops. It was like 2006 and this VST was my backbone trying out my first full songs. Only good memories!

great video, the JX8P is a 10/10 synth, the vst...is honestly a 5/10, they need to improve a lot still

I wish they just added a simple flutter effect as an option on this plugin. It would be perfect.

Just picked halion up yesterday on sale and crossgrade price. For £106 it is pretty phenominal. Love it already. Cant wait to get into the guts of it.

0:54 truly gave it away. The clicky filter on the hardware unit always bugged me a bit. Both sound very usable in my opinion and I owned a JP-8080 for a number of years. Sure, there's still that 5% of character difference. That difference is important to musicians when isolating instrument tracks. However, those differences disappear into obscurity in a full mix. The thing I miss the most about the JP-8080 was all the knobs and sliders AND less load on my CPU (one less synth to load into the DAW). Sure, some of the A and B tests are strikingly different, BUT envelopes do not behave the same from synth to synth so perfect comparisons are almost moot. The last 5% really boils down to some phase randomness that seems to affect how dense or loose the detune knob feels once the sound hits your ears (Hive sounded less dense or chaotic in that capacity).

What about just making the same patches using the existing synths in Reason?? There are so many possibilities already.....We don't need more synths...we have enough :-) Algoritm FM can make the same sounds as PX7(DX7)...

B sounds brighter and nicer m sold my jp8k it was starting to break down on me

It sounds amazing and I couldn't tell the difference. I've also used the free Dexed which is great, but I still think this FM Lab is worth because it is stereo and it sounds warmer than Dexed.

You just became my new best friend. Thank you for the demo. Some of the sounds are off-the-wall incredible. I’ve had it sitting, unused, on my MPC key 61 and haven’t touched it. Now I know I’ve made a mistake. definitely going to be using this in a bunch of my music. Thank you.

The main difference seems to be in the way the chorus sounds. I like the sound of the hardware more, but it's probably not too hard to dial it back a bit on the emulation to keep things a bit more restrained.

Well I got it, 100%, so......I mean it's close but I guessed the JP 8080 correctly.

A = Hive ; B = JP

97%similar. The difference would be indecipherable in a m8x. The DX7 is ever so slightly phatter on a few sounds ..but that can be addressed by running the Halion through plugins.

But the sounds are very Casio sounding , I was there in 1983 myself and even then thought those sounds were pretty weak. It’s all down to production skills to make these sounds any good. And even then how to use a good sound the right way.

I have all 3 plus zoetrope is good as well

Love this demo, will have to look into getting 8-Ball :D Out of interest, which Roland TR-707 patch did you use? The only one for Kong I could find was a free one...seems fine but I have no idea how accurate it is, was wondering if there's an official patch out there, or if I should go for something like the Jackbox 7R-707 Reason instrument.
