Yes! Exactly! They don’t have to amend anything, they just have to change what the amendments mean by definitions. They’ve already done this with the 2nd amendment and what gun rights mean.

Just because there is a medical condition which hinders a woman to be able to give birth, doesn’t change the fact that they still have the sex organs and biological structure of a woman. Just like if we were born without an arm, we’d will be considered a human even though we had a deformity, this is the same way as a man or woman whose sex organs don’t work as God designed them. We don’t need to change a definition in order to include them, they are already included. This definition, along with the part about gender identity being opposite of male, clearly shows that they are including men into that definition as well.

Yes, words will change and definitions do too. I think it’s important to be aware of those changes and whether or not some of those definitions are actually truthful. Like changing what marriage is or what a woman or man is…

another note, the way that this is worded suggests that dictionaries are purposefully redefining words to fit some narrative. but dictionaries only describe how people use words in real life. they are descriptive, not prescriptive. their entire purpose, as dictionaries, is to record how words are used, regardless of who uses words a certain way or why. if this is how the words female and male are being used by a large enough group of people, a descriptive dictionary *must* reflect that and change the definition. languages change, words change. dictionaries must change with them. it's fine to not *like* the change, but to suggest a hidden agenda is illogical.

The dictionary itself did state that was the reason for the change- there was an agenda. I definitely agree that some words will change over time as society changes, but some words are specifically changed to fit a certain narrative, and that I find fault in.

Oh I see what you mean! I miss understood what you said before. No, I’m not advocating for words to mean whatever people think they should mean. The progressive movement has tried to ban certain words because they are offensive or whatever, so that’s what “approved words” meant in the quote. I don’t agree with that tho. We shouldn't change definitions or use “approved words” hope that makes sense! 😁
