Excellent video and editing skills I enjoyed the video just found your channel I hope the weather gets better I am going to koh samui next week
Thanks a lot for such an amazing feedback! I hope the video is helpful for your trip! The weather changes quite a bit, i think it's rather common for most tropical locations - but even when it rains there is a lot if things you can do and explore. I wish you an great trip!
@@NavigatewithKate thanks I'm a new subscriber I will be looking forward to more great videos
🤗 Welcome and happy to see you here. The next one is about Koh Phangan, if you have enough time on this trip - try to go there for a couple of days. It’s a different vibe compared to Samui (slower pace, less developed and more nature) and we really loved it there! It’s a ferry ride away, and they also offer day trips, but I think it’s best to give it bit more time to experience the best of Koh Phangan.
@@NavigatewithKate thanks 👍

it is interesting and informative. Thanks

Can you make also make a video for secret hang out spots for local please!! I’m going to Paris next month and I’m worrying about the well known spots will be too busy due to Olympic Games.
I'm not sure I'll get to make one before your visit but I will try. I can definitely give you some tips here. What kind of spots would are you looking for? More of an outdoor places, or restaurants and cafes? If you are coming in a month I highly recommend checking this website to see which areas are restricted during your visit anticiperlesjeux.gouv.fr/carte-interactive-impacts-deplacements-ile-france Some of the iconic signts will be fully closed for the public and only accessible by people with a ticket on the day of the event. Also, there are quite a few things that are significantly more expensive during this time (like metro tickets that go from 2.15€ to 4.10€ and Eiffel Tower tickets that are 20% more starting today).
Outdoor places would be great! Thank you so much!!
Here are some spots for the outdoor: GARDENS 1. Jardin du Palais Royal (75001) this one is very close to Louvre, so it might be harder to acces due to Olympics closures, but outside of that it is a bit out of the way. It's not a hidden gem, but I feel like it's not too touristy. It's also very popular for filming, so you might have seen it in a few movies or shows. If you watched Emily in Paris, they have quite a lot of scenes filmed in the parc and around it. There is also a really nice coffeeshop inside - it's a part of my new episode that's coming this week. 2. Luxembourg Garden (75005) This is one of the biggest gardens in Paris, it's in a historic area close to Latin Quarter and Saint Germain. The garden is really big and has plenty of space. However, there is not many areas where you can picnic, there is plenty of seats on the chairs (around main fountain and on the side) + couple of cafes inside the park. From my knowledge it should not be impacted by Olympics 3. Jardin des Planes (75005) This is another big garden, but it's a bit off the central part. It's still central and right by the metro but a good walk from places like Louvre and Notre-Dame. It's a botanical garden, so plently of flowers. And it also has two museums inside. 4. Parc Monceau (75008) It's a very popular among locals, I'd say it's an ultimate green escape, and most of the grass areas are allowed for sitting. Gets very busy on a weekend if the weather is nice, but during the week it's quite empty. SQUARES 5. National Archive Museum (75004) It's a free admission museum that is really beautiful and has some interesting pieces from Paris archives. And the coolest part is the inside coutryard that is a bit hidden and not very well known. It's not very big only has a few seats, but also not very known. I definitely recommend ti have a pick there. 6. Place de Vosges (75004) It's quite an unique place, and very pictureque. Also get's very busy when it's sunny, same as number 4. It's surrounded by a arched buildings and one of them is Victor Hugo's museum. It's also a free admission and they have an inside garden/cafe that also off the popular tourist lists, so you will probably have mosty locals, which means it's quite empty during the week. 7. Jardin Villemin & Canal Saint Martin (75010) This is in a different area of Paris, further from the popular tourist sights and more of a hipster area. It's known for it's restaurants and coffees (one of them was in this episode - HolyBelly). The park itself if a bit uneventfull, but it's a nice green space. A walk along the canal is a well known area. Hope this is helpful, I will try to cover some of those spots in the upcoming videos ;)
Omg thank you for such detailed info!! Can’t wait to check them out. Thank youuu🙏🏼❤️❤️
You are welcome :) Wish you have a great trip! The coffee episode I mentioned is also published, in case it can be relevant :)

It was nice to meet you ❤
It was nice to meet you too :)
This is madness. Those brands know that they have a niche of 'crazy' consumers and they will always monetize upon that. I guess that fashion addicted people may be tempted by the concept and I somehow understand/respect that, but It's not for me :P
I think it's more of a trendy / luxury experience mark up vs the brand craze. But I see what you mean :) I'm a bit of a foodie, so this was an interesting experience regrdless. But there is definetely great alternatives that are just as delicious and much more reasonbly priced.
Great really i love it .. keep it up
Thank you for the encouraging words 🙂 And welcome to the channel 🤗
ممتاز
Thank you
80% of the city is great. 20% is awful. Sorry you stayed in the awful part. Next time try Cole Valley, or Noe Valley, or the Mission even. Or Haight.
That’s an interesting way to sum it up. Sounds about right :) Thanks for the recommendations for the areas. Which part is your favorite in SF?
I commuted into SF from 2013-2018. I worked in the Financial District on Montgomery Street. 1. Avoid the Tenderloin. I never walked over there and especially anyone who is alone should avoid the area. 2. Real people don’t drive in SF, we use public transportation (BART and Muni). Cars are too expensive to park and driving in SF is a nightmare (especially when your GPS stops working in the skyscraper areas of downtown). GPS signals get blocked by all the skyscrapers. 3. When you next visit go to: Golden Gate Park for the day. Go to the Botanical Gardens, Japanese Tea Gardens, De Young Museum and the CA Academy of Sciences. Bonus points if you bring a picnic lunch to the Botanical Gardens or Shakespeare’s Park. (Laughing about the weed smoke because the last time I had a picnic at the Shakespeare Garden a weed smoker lit up. I told him to please move so that we weren’t downwind of him-we were there first. Weed smokers are pretty mellow. Tell them to politely move if the smoke gets bad. Visit the golden gate bridge (free parking-overflow free parking on the SF side to the right of the main parking lot.) Walking from the overflow parking gives you great views to photograph. After a day at the park visit the beach near the Golden Gate Park. Spend a day biking from the Fishermen’s Market to the Presidio. Pack a picnic lunch. Stop and enjoy the views. Get a car and drive to Muir Woods (or get a tour). A lovely day trip with lots of hiking possibilities. Get a car and visit Sausalito. Great hikes and old WWII sites to visit. Lots of beautiful scenery to hike and photograph including a lighthouse by the SF Bay. Enjoy and DO NOT walk into the Tenderloin-EVER!!
Thanks a lot for sharing such a detailed recommendation! It’s very helpful and much appreciated! Will keep those in mind for our next visit.
I love SF! I would say it is the most european-centric city in California. But it is a shame how horribly mismanaged to crime & homelessness crisis is, especially since the retarded lockdowns. May humans learn from their errors.
Yes, it‘s a pity! I really hope it will get better with time.
Every store in Union Square is closed and the Westfield Mall is closed. 🤦♂️
Yeah it feels pretty empty
Westfield is not closed it is open and was just purchased. Also, no store closed near union square but Macys is scheduled to close once they sell it.
@murk2002 Yeah sure pal.
I used to live in Tenderloin as a student back in 2009. I must say that the city has changed a lot since back then.
I only heard some things from friends who lived there in 2021 and they said it actually got a bit better in 2023 compared to then. Was it nice in 2009?
@@NavigatewithKate Super nice and much more safer. There were way less homeless people and frankly, they were harmless, they would ask for change/pennis and never bother you. Furthermore, there was a police station in Eddy Street on your way to Market street, so it was way safer back then.
Thanks for sharing, it's really interesting to learn! Sounds like it was much nicer indeed. It's such a sad picture to see it in today's state. I've read that Salesforce was even considering to move its biggest conference elsewhere if situation doesn't get better. It seems like it improved since 2022, but there is definitely more to be done. I really hope this will turn to the better, it's a really beautiful city and it's sad to see it this way.
@@NavigatewithKate It is a beautiful city that I had to leave for its crazy cost of living. You get used to the city and everything but honestly at some point, no matter how much you make, it starts not to make sense anymore to stay there. Between Paris and SF, you must be well served in that department :) (I used to live in Paris as well...)
I agree, it's definitely very expensive. But it feels like most big cities are up there nowadays. Paris is actually less expensive in comparison. The real estate is probably what differs the least. Both are crazy, however Paris is about 30% less for comparable properties. The other things like groceries and restaurants are almost 50% less especially when you adjust for quality that is much higher in France. And other costs like medical are drasticly lower. This said, salaries are proportionnally less in France too. So overall it adds up to similar ratios I think. There are more nuanced differences, but Paris is surely very expensive and people are moving out to smaller cities in France when their career allows.
I always wondered how is it to live in San Francisco 😊
Glad you liked it!
nice and very informative video about this lovely city
Thanks a lot :)
Scores of drug bums isn't lovely.
Based upon your dental history, San Francisco California should never be a choice if you do not have American Citizenship or both medical and dental health insurance in the United States, our health care is extremely expensive.
Thanks for the insights. I actually have insurance that covers dental in the USA. I know that most of the medical cost are much higher than Europe. But strangely enough, adult orthodontics are about the same. And they are badly covered in both countries. In France, there is a very good reimbursement for children ortodontics, majority of kids can get tried with little to none out of pocket cost. But not for adults unfortunately. We also have complicated logistics between cities, so I would probably need a doctor in both for the follow-ups. Will probably share more of the full story when the things get figured out.
@@NavigatewithKate you’re very beautiful ❤️ San Francisco is not the best place right now 2024 as many doctors are providing implant type of services, it is still a surgical procedure.
Thanks for sharing, I appreciate it.
Beautiful places. The world is still very diverse!
Your choice of wineries was really disappointing, tbh. Been in Sonoma/Napa for 30 years now, and you picked five of the worst wineries in the area. All overproduced commercial garbage.
We were going on a whim tbh and this what my research on google landed us. I'm sure there is plenty of great many places to discover. Looks like you have a good knowledge of the area. Do you mind sharing some of the good options to see?
You’re not knowledgeable of wine country Napa and Sonoma are two different places. Del Dotto is $120.00 a visit in 2024 and requires reservations
You’re right, I’m not. It was our first trip and with very little research beforehand. Thanks for sharing the info about Del Dotto, it’s really nice of you. You seem to know a lot about the area. Any recommendations of what's worth exploring for our next trip?
Looks lovely 🥰
Please make more videos, so interesting ❤
Looks like a dream 😊
I definitely need to visit this city 😮
I always dreamt to go to San Francisco
