sorry but that's not speedflying. it's not even a speedflying wing
That's very interesting. Can you elaborate on what you mean??
What's the size of the mini-wing you were using?
15mm
Fun fact: you did not learn how to speedfly... The guys who attempted to teach you come from skydiving and have no idea what they are doing. If you want to learn, you need to learn to paraglide and fly paragliders for at least 1, better 3-4 years. Only then you understand the air and these wings. What you did is like driving an electric car 10 times at 6mph in a straight line in the parking lot and saying you learned how to auto race. I am saying this as one of the first austrian speedflyers, acro paraglider pilot, skydiver and swooper and private pilot...
Very interesting that you start out with "Fun fact". Then there is only one way to learn. Then list an austrain speedflyer, acro paraglider, skydiver, swooper and private pilot... and there more? I guessing you are some SKYGOD right? But it weird, you have no videos on your channel. All my friends have tons of videos of there swooping skydives and more but you have none. That wired but all this experence.
My progression looked very very similar , but with a bit less running :D Well done ! Wish you many awesome proxy flights and ofc a blue sky !
Very Cool
We have the same harness as well. SupAir Radical 3
Very Cool
This is so freaking cool. Its really motivating.
Thanks
What's your gears?
The naruto run works!
the music makes this so funny haha
Thanks
do you just use a regular ram-air canopy for skydiving to do this or are there special speedflying wings you can buy?
Special for speedflying. The MirageRS2 is about $2,500. I’m trying to get into this sport. Looks very fun and very dangerous
@@simplydiscgolf8519 M2RS is an incredible wing.
Watched the whole video... Must have missed what I would call a speed wing... When you get down to an 8m Wing please make another video... Good stuff thanks for posting.
Most people don't fly 8.5s so to say that's what you consider a speedwing is very limiting. 18m and below with certain characteristics is speedflying. 13m and down you start getting better characteristics for adrenaline filled fun. Most folks don't fly below an 11m.
@@SteepVisions Thanks for taking the time to get back to me... PS most folks aren't going on 80 years old and still flying like me LOL great stuff. Looking for more of your videos... Thanks again
@@dwightbernheimer331 It's not my video
@@SteepVisions It's still good thank you. By the way when I lived in Hawaii the prevailing winds were always quite strong. There were days you could actually fly from point to point on that 8 Ozone Rapidos. Lol stay well stay safe
what the fuck are you talking about? 8m being the only thing you consider a “speedwing”…shut up😂 you said you lived in hawaii, why don’t you come up to some high altitude spots and see how you fare on an 8m. Try landing at 8000ft and watch how hard you eat shit. I bet you’ll wanna step up to an 11 or 13 real quick
Looks like a hoot, Greg! I wish I could still run, much less fly, but old-age knees now preclude that. :-(( Enjoy!
It is your first time you fly speedriding
yes
That’s really funny. And awesome
do you need skydive exp to do this/>?
You don't need to have any Skydive experience to learn to go speedflying
Personally I'd start with learning paragliding and move on to speedflying after. Paragliders are much slower, less responsive and that gives you much more time to react thus making it safer to learn how to fly rather than starting with a speedflying wing. But as Greg M showed it's totally doable to learn speedflying right from the start.
@@TitusIV do you have a good place to look for equipment? thanks for the reply
@@shawnwalden2669 Hey Shawn, usually any school would be able to sell you new or used equipment . I got my equipment from flybubble's shop though, they also sell used ones. you can also look for all the paragliding brands and contact their distributors for new wings. But please, if you are starting this sport, learn how to fly through a school to learn the basics atleast for a full week or two, it's crazy the amount of knowledge you get from experienced Pilots. A single obvious wrong turn to an expert's eyes is often unoticible to a novice and the consequences can be pretty bad. These sports have to be taken seriously and knowledge is key, don't try your luck on your own.
@@TitusIV thanks again, the cost is pretty expensive for school but I defiantly get what your saying... mistakes in this sport don't pan out well lol, thank you!
Good ol' Lake Isabella. Mmmmmmm. The GLX is a great ground launch wing. I love it!
This is so awesome! You’re hot! Can I get your number?
This is the vidoes sucks alot
