My weight has been up and down lately! But No worries; My measurements for my waist right now are 31 inches, and the fullest part of the hip is 41 inches. The primrose size chart says I should be between size 14-16. After making the pants in a size 8/10, I feel if I chose size 14-16, the pants would be wearing me. LOL! 😂I chose size 8/10, and as you can see, they fit fine. Not too snug, not too boxy. I removed 7 inches of pant length because I'm short. Honestly, I will be making these again in a couple of weeks and will use size 4/6 instead of 8/10. I'll be lowering the waistline by 1-2 inches as well. Hope this helps. Thank you so much! 🥰

Im pretty new to sewing clothes and the first pants i tried to do they were small, and unwearable by me. So im scared of choosing the wrong size again

@@danielacardoso6177 Aww, you're welcome. I'm happy to help. Everything depends on how you want them to fit: snug, a little loose, or boxy. If I were choosing for myself, I would select size 12/14. To be safe, sew a tester with an old sheet before using your good fabric. It would only take 30 minutes. Sew up the pant pieces minus the serging, pockets, cuffs, and elastic. If they fit your bum and hips the way you want, you're good to go. I hope this helps.

This sewing pattern does not share the finished measurements. From what I've gathered from using it, it looks as though there are at least 4 inches of ease per size in the bust area. For this sewing pattern, my measurements are exactly size 16. I used the size 12 pattern, and it fit me perfectly, as seen in this video. It looks as though this pattern fits a Size B, but I could be wrong. You may want to make a toile to ensure a size fits your granddaughter's bust and possibly size up the bust area and merge the lower half with another size. Hopefully, my measurement was a good example how the sizing is with this pattern. Good luck, I hope this helps. One more thing. The way the dress comes together with the ties underneath, she can tighten or loosen it to her liking.

Hi, Audra. Thank you! I'm sorry that this pattern didn't work out for you. Usually, commercial sewing patterns end up fitting weirdly for me. Luckily, this one didn't. However, I'd like to know if sizing down helped my situation, as the pattern had a bit of fit-ease. The flowy fabric looks great, but I agree it would be a challenge to work with at first. I'm a newbie at making my sewing patterns and am always pushing myself. I prefer this and Indie patterns over commercial sewing patterns any day. I'd love to see the sewing patterns you make. Do you sell them?
