The page for my pigeon content! I am fabricdragon, and my Loft name is Dragon's Dovecote. I am a beginner as of late fall 2023 in Racing Pigeons
This channel will be solely for pigeon content, as opposed to my gardening or textile channnels. I am moving my Pigeon content over from fabricdragon so folks dont have to wade through everything else!

birds got out, but at least they came home, sort of
I wasn't done training.
I REALLY wasn't done training
But a bunch of birds got out of my "tunnel" which meant I had to disassemble it entirely so they could get back in.
Sadly I don't have a "one way" access yet.

I haven't been doing much, since I'm still recovering from covid. Everything tires me out :( But The birds are getting used to coming and going from the bathing and sunning cage to the loft, and that's what's important! #pigeonloft #disability #racingpipigeons #loftconstruction #progress #disabled #covid #covidrecovery

Any dust or particulates are bad to get in your lungs. Feather dander and dried bird droppings are worse. Be safe Use a kn95 or better if stirring up dust, and an actual respirator if doing things like using a leaf blower #racingpipigeons #pigeonloft #disability #health #pigeonfanciers #lungs #safety

I gave them more food in the loft and closed it up at dark. I'll go in in the morning and count birds...

Looks like all of them got back in! I re opened the loft just now and figure if i missed one they are more likely to come back if the others are out. Oh, funny...one of the older birds? I transferred to the flight loft? He flew RIGHT BACK..not to the flight loft, but the shed my breeders are in. He apparently successfully locked on to that and even figured how to get in despite only getting "trained" to the flight loft...@Patelofts740

Thank you so much! Yeah i.am slowly recovering but hubby is taking longer. The birds are fabulous though. Sadly I have a olr to pay for, and the cash flow went "poof" with being sick

They all look good and healthy dust is our enemy and moisture but I know I have been planning a new loft build and gonna put some 8inch ac infinity inline fans and carbon filters but that is a long way away keep up the amazing work 💪🏼🤛🏼

thanks! i really want to completely re do the "breeding lofts" in the shed, because i made so many mistakes... so hopefully once i have birds moved to the big loft i can start work in the shed loft!

How did these ship in? I've heard so many mixed comments on shipping pigeons. I would love to order some as well, since I live nowhere near any other fanciers or shows, but am also 100+ miles away from an airport. I've heard they get shipped airport-to-airport and you have to go pick them up at the airport, but have heard others say they come right to your door.... can you tell me what your experience was with receiving these beauties?? Love the Blue Bars. A blue bar cock and blue grizzle hen were my first pigeons ever many years ago. I was unable to keep them and expand my flock or start a loft at that time, but am hoping to get back into them again at the age of 40. Better late than never!
i am so sorry! i didnt see this comment!!! i dont know how international shipping works, because Frank and i both live in the USA. within the USA you can ship through the post office. you need an approved carrier box, and you take it to the counter... arriving birds, they will call you to pick up at the local USPS hub/office which is not usually like the post office you go to? its where the trucks get loaded in your area...
