God's Nature is Love
“Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love.” (1 John 4:8)
“The Lord is compassionate and gracious, slow to anger, abounding in love.” (Psalm 103:8)
God Does Not Take Pleasure in Destruction
“For I take no pleasure in the death of anyone, declares the Sovereign Lord. Repent and live!” (Ezekiel 18:32)
God’s desire is for repentance and restoration, not revenge.
Trials Are Not God’s Revenge
“In this world, you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” (John 16:33)
“The Lord disciplines the one He loves, and He chastens everyone He accepts as His son.” (Hebrews 12:6)
God Desires Repentance and Restoration
“The Lord is not slow in keeping His promise... Instead, He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.” (2 Peter 3:9)
“For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future.” (Jeremiah 29:11)
God’s Love is Shown Through Jesus
“For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.” (John 3:16)
“But God demonstrates His own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” (Romans 5:8)
Natural Disasters Reflect a Broken World, Not God’s Judgment
Disasters and hardships are a result of living in a fallen world and not evidence of God's revenge.
These events call us to trust in God’s love and seek hope in His promises.
