Star Wars: Attack of the Clones - Across the Stars║Reorchestration & MIDI Mockup
An all-by-ear transcription, reorchestration and MIDI mockup of a short section from Across the Stars, one of the key themes featured in Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones (as well as it's sequel). It was originally composed by the legendary John Williams, and therefore all rights go to him, Lucasfilm and to Disney.
As it's the Maestro's 90th Birthday (although I slightly missed the mark by a day) I decided to have a go at transcribing this simply wonderful piece. It's probably my absolute favourite composition of his (with A Window to the Past definitely in close second) and I aimed, above all, to get as much expression out of my virtual instruments as possible and really, really dive deep into the emotion of this theme. I think it's definitely the most realistic sounding MIDI mockup I've ever made and under the hood you'd be able to see why - breath control, vibrato and expression for each instrument as well as experimentation with sound source placement according to the original recording layout AND I even went as far as to find out the approximate measurements of Abbey Road Studio 1 to simulate an approximate reverb and additionally dial in room tone. I'd loved to have done the entire piece, but I think my brain (not to mention my very sickly iMac) would have imploded, and I was desperately trying to get it done in time as well.

An all-by-ear transcription, reorchestration and MIDI mockup of the Title Theme to Marvel Studio's new series - Loki. It was originally composed by Natalie Holt, and therefore all rights go to her, Marvel Studios and to Disney. A reorchestration of the Overworld Theme from Super Mario Bros. 2. It was originally composed by Koji Kondo, and therefore all rights go to him and to Nintendo. Final Hours - Zelda: Majora's Mask║Reorchestration

A reorchestration of Final Hours from The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask. It was originally composed by Koji Kondo, and therefore all rights go to him and to Nintendo. Though there's a certain something about the original that will NEVER be beaten by any arrangement, I thought I'd try my hand at this legendary song. Isn't it crazy how just a handful of chords voiced in the right way can evoke s...

A reorchestration of the Life in The Mines level theme from Donkey Kong Country. It was originally composed by David Wise, and therefore all rights go to him and Rare Ltd. The use of those looped sound effects as a sort of percussive ambience really helps to nail ...

“A shuddering silence fell upon the room. Every face was suddenly contracted in a painful intensity. "Doom!" "Doom!" "Doom!" to the last stroke. The big clock echoed in our ears like the hammer of destiny.”
I do wish that the songs were on Spotify such as this one. It's dope nonetheless, and honestly I do hope that one day you post again with more LoZ songs.
I thought this track was so underrated, especially the dulcet additions in the past variant, so it's such a blessing not only for a reorchestration of it to exist, but one as hauntingly gorgeous as this. You've filled out the sound so amazingly, the atmosphere is really elevated from the original - it's obvious to tell how the original made you feel through your arrangement of it, and that's really delightful!
This remix was GREAT! At times even better than the original, especially the last half.
This is what'd you hear inside Santa's Workshop. So christmassy.
"This orchestration almost made me cry of joy, keep it up, you talented boy!"
Your arrangement seems to enhance the desert and water feelings simultaneously!
Thank you so much Rebecca! I 100% was trying to find some balance between the two sides of Lanayru, I'm so glad it comes through musically!
So Epic!!!
definently sounds like a carnival's going on
I search for a remix of 'the Final hours' and i found one of the best i really like and i'm not like this remix, i love it... (Majora's mask never getting forget from me or someone else)
What instruments did you use? And if they are vsts or kontakt libraries, which ones were they? What an impressive job, you left me speechless and someday I would like to make this type of music, that's why I ask (apart from the fact that it's my favorite game and for me tloz ss has the best soundtrack)
Thank you so much! I'm glad you enjoyed - I used a bunch of different Kontakt libraries: Percussion: Live shakers, Native Instruments West Africa and Action Strikes, Damage 2, Omnisphere Java Gong - B2-G3 (same sample from the original) Strings: Performance Samples Vista, Cinesamples CineStrings/CineStrings Pro, Spitfire Audio Olafur Arnalds Evolutions & Chamber Evolutions Woodwinds: Cinesamples CineWinds/CineWinds Pro, Strezov Sampling Duduk, Omnisphere Windy Pan Flute (same sample from the original) Choir: Strezov Sampling Rhodope, Omnisphere Gospel Choir Oh's (same sample from the original) Live Irish Bozouki/Guitars Hope this helps and best of luck in your music-making journey! : )
@@MatthewNewsomeComposer thank youu for being so specific, this will help me a lot :")
Why did you stop making musics?
Hey! Thanks for your comment, about 2 years ago I went full-time with work as a composer and orchestrator, so it's become harder and harder to find the time to do more covers/arrangements. I've still got lots planned and I'm hoping there's one or two almost-finished ones I can polish off an upload soon!
This one took six minutes(exclude the title which lasted 8 seconds) while also adding a game timer of 6 minutes I can die peacefully knowing that face-moon will crash in exactly 6 game hours.
just thank you, this music ohnestly brings me to tears
This not on iTunes?
Hi @@Kevinterell! Unfortunately not at the moment, am currently sorting issues with my music distributor, but hopefully it'll be available for streaming soonish!
@@MatthewNewsomeComposer this theme is amazing but thank you for your response brotha!
“No one more than him [Dale Earnhardt] appreciated what it took to win this race. And so, three years after he had finally realized it for himself, he spent his final moments ensuring that his friend, and his son, could realize it too.” -EllyProductions49
This is what you hear just before dying
Hermoso❤❤❤
God this sound's amazing you did such a good job
All i can hear is Pat screaming at mat saying "ITS NOT FU**ING KOJI KONDO!" in their shadow of the colossus playthrough
A la memoria de ❤️🙌🏽🥲"Laguna de Churince" en Cuatrociénegas 🇲🇽
You HAVE to put this on Spotify and Apple Music PLEASE I’m am literally begging you
This is great song cant lie❤
This is awesome.
Rather soothing melody... I can feel my sorrows leaving through it..
"World War III trailer" ahh song 💀🔥
also aint no way this person only has 1k subs hes so underrated
Its a tradition of mine that very time before i go to camp just a few hours before i leave i play this
Wait did fallout 3-4 copy the start of the final hours theme?
can confirm most of this game's soundtrack are in that "any few seconds are instantly recognizable" part of my memory
This shit was way too dark to be a children's game. Just look at how impactful this game was to all of us, the way it still affects us as grown adults.
whats that gong instrument that play with a high note?
Hey there, great question! If you mean the one at roughly 0:22 - that's just a tubular bell hit that's been electronically edited so that the initial attack has a slower onset, but if you mean the lower secondary one around 0:24 or 0:26 (which is the same one used in the original track), I'm unfortunately not sure! I've been on a bit of a quest to find out exactly what sample was used - definitely an idiophone of some type, probably a suspended tuned gong, perhaps maybe an effected Javanese kenong or bonang... The closest lead I have is a Java Gong sample from Omnisphere (which was used heavily throughout the Skyward Sword Soundtrack) Java Gong - B2-G3, which was originally from Spectrasonic's "Heart of Asia" library. It definitely sounds close but I think it was layered in with other samples and processed. Hope that helps!
@@MatthewNewsomeComposer Oh wowww, its a very nifty sound, makes the song sound super super industrial and legendary!!
This ist one of the best things ive heard in my entire life
The beginning sounds like the first 10 seconds of "the lonely" by Christina Perri.
Wow! You're right - it follows a VERY similar descending pattern (in the same key) for the first 3 chords and opening chord is the exact same!
Just discovered this, this is absolutely fantastic. Well done you!
what a ducking masterpiece
Wow. This is by FAR the most perfect version of the Final Hours I ever heard. The bells starting at 2:35, the music going crescendo... And then, 4:20 with Skull Kid laughing, and the clock in sync with the music, the choir raising... PERFECTION!
Agreed man. It was hard to find the perfect mix.
This song illustrates but four words: Try as you might.
Almost exactly 6 minutes long, how fitting
lets go!, what a beatiful instrumental <3
2:50
Beautiful
can i have permision to use
Sure thing!
if this aint playin at my funeral then i aint dyin 💯
please tell me this on spotify
Not at the minute but hopefully very soon! Currently processing through my distributor
id like to hear this from a huge symphony
The transition on the 3rd bell is just absolutely amazing and beautiful.
If you haven't acquired all the masks, time to reset the clock. If you did almost all of that, have Chateau Romani Milk in your inventory since the Night of the First Day, and have unfinished business in Clock Town after stealing Kafei's Mask from Sakon, warp to Clock Town, haul ass to the places needed to complete the Anju and Kafei sidequest, then prepare to save the world. _This is do or die to prevent the apocalypse._
Took the best overworld theme and somehow made it infinitely better. I love it!
