Such a pretty selection of items!! 🤍 I was also knitting a cumulus blouse myself while watching 🫧
Yeeey. What color and yarn are you going with? ☺️
I felt exactly the same about the cumulus blouse, a little boring to knit but so wearable!! Thanks for sharing all your experiences knitting these ☺️ Also the beanies look super cute with your bangs!!
Do you think about knitting a second blouse? I feel that it would be so nice to have a dark version, but so boring 🥲 Thanks a lot, I was worried that it would look strange, but really bangs with hats are so cute ☺️
Oooh a dark one would be so nice! Yes! I’ve actually started already, I’m holding a strand of knitting for olive merino with a strand of variegated suri and it’s a bit denser fabric but super lovely. The variegated yarn makes it a bit more interesting
it sounds so cool 🥹
Give the sweater to your husband. He deserved it. Thanks for such a useful video❤
He will be soooo happy 🥹
I enjoyed this video and having your feedback on your makes 😊
Oh, thank you! Glad you enjoyed it and found time to write a comment 😍🫶🏻
Do you speak Russian?
no
Alona, I love your outfit. It is perfect and looks so professional. You have inspired me. The pattern roundup was amazing. Thank you.
Awww thanks for such a nice comment 🥹🥹🥹
Your taste is incredible. Thanks for this selection😍
Thanks my dear 😘
Thank you for compiling all of these lovely patterns! I love boat neck styles, and you showed several that I haven't seen before. I have some Shibui linen that I think would work for many of these. Take care.
Thank you for watching 🥹 Oh, linen sounds like a great idea for summer
Now I‘m thinking about knitting something with silk. 😅
Oh yeah. This is a good idea for summer 😻
beautiful selection of pattern, Alona! My mother is a big fan of boat neck, so it was very useful to watch for the future projects
Thanks a lot 🥹 I hope she’ll find something here 🫶
really surprise. 100% alpaca doesn't smell like sheep
Yeah, I know that alpaca shouldn’t smell like sheep. By this I meant “doesn’t smell like animal”. My senses are quite high and I feel many more smells than people around me. when the yarn doesn't smell this is a win 🏆
I love it ❤
😘😘😘😘
I'm knitting my shona top watching you and enjoying the summer rain 🤗. I would love to see all your petit knit projects too🥰.
Sounds like a perfect time spent ☺️ Yeeey, happy to hear about it
Great podcast, I enjoyed with my morning knitting ☕Braidy loop cardi 😍 I want both braidy loop sweater and cardigan but still cant decide what to knit! Yours looks amazing and it will suit you beautifully. Love your finished objects and I think petit knit patterns review would be useful for a lot of people!
Awww thanks a lot ☺️ Yeees! I’m in love with sweater version as well, but decided to start from the cardigan, as I need more of them ☺️
it will be wonderful to see your review of PetiteKnit patterns❤ i'm in love with your`s Atlantis Top😍
Thank you! 😊 and soon I’ll knit something else similar to this top 😍
Enjoyed your video❤❤❤
Thanks a lot for watching and finding time to write a comment ☺️
wonderful trip and a very beautiful blouse😍
😘😘😘
beautiful video, I enjoyed knitting through it. Amazing color of your cumulus! I actually have a little dream to make a 500 km cycling trip in Denmark and now I know for sure if I do it, I will walk through Copenhagen and visit the yarn shops as well!
Omg, what a dream!!! This is definitely worth it. It was my third visit to Copenhagen and not the last, so I highly recommend ☺️
Love the knits!! You've probably heard this before, but you could totally be a high fashion model...and the fashion designer, too! Crocheted and knitted lace work was totally on the runway this year, also.
Awww so nice of you. I was dreaming to be a model in my childhood, but then I learned how mentally and physically exhausting this job can be 🥲 Thank you for watching and writing a comment ☺️
Such insight as always! I'm currently working on Camisole No 5, it will be a gift for my sister-in-law. Knitting it in Viking Bamboo Cotton and although it separates quite easily, it has a beautiful feel and is already looking amazing while working with it. I think it'll be great on very warm days. Did have to size down to 2.5mm needles though... but thankfully i have some other projects that are more dk weight cotton leaning so i can switch between
Camisole No.5 should be amazing in such yarn and it definitely needs additional projects, to keep hands in a good condition 🥹 Thanks for watching ☺️
the new dress is amazing. Can't wait to see it❤
Yeeees, it will be a loooong process, but interesting
Winter here in Australia and I'm a novice knitter so I'm making some house socks and then maybe a merino + mohair vest for layering at work. Our winters aren't too bad (10 deg is as low as it gets during a winter day where I am) but i feel the cold
Wooow, you have such a warm winter, especiallyfor someone who used to have at least -10 deg 🤪. But I'm definitely happy to have colder winters and colder summer 😅 Have you decided with a vest pattern?
@knitting.your.life8 trust me, I'd prefer colder summers too 😂
Totally understandable 😅
I have decided to knit with cotton blend yarns. I am making several sweaters that will be worn in the autumn. I live in a very hot climate so the tank tops I knit last year in cotton cannot be worn in the summer😢 presently I am knitting the Chinook Winds sweater from pom-pom quarterly. I’ve used Katia Concept Cotton-yak yarn before. It feels like cotton when I knit so my hands don’t get too hot in the summer, but the garments are perfect for fall and winter because they are warm.
Sounds like a cool plan. I've never heard about cotton - yak, need to check it out. Yeah, I live not in the hottest climate, but still it can be hard to wear knits
That's what I said about drops belle. But turns out because of the linen content you just need time.... to warm it up. It is not scratchy after some wear. And I have the navy blue (darker-more pigmented colors tend to be scratchier). I hope this works for you because the ingrid top in this zinc color looks 😗👌 such a staple.
Yeees! With wear it become much softer and I enjoy the resulted fabric. The knitting process with it was pretty hard for my hands, so I’m not sure that I ready to knit something else with this yarn 🧶
I was playing your video in the background and what a pleasant suprise when I eyed the screen and saw your cat ❤ What a majestic creature, it made my day! Lovely Dianthus top too 😊
Awww she is my main start☺️☺️ Thank you for watching 🫶
Gorgeous patterns & great idea I might rate my summer knits too x
You should do this! I feel so inspired to wear all my summery knits after this video. Plus, I really want to fix some of them, so I can enjoy wearing them 🥹
Loved your insights about these patterns. They are an inspiration for future knitting projects. Thanks for sharing ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Yeeey, thank you for watching, I’m extremely happy that this video was helpful 🫶🏻
Thank you, this was very helpful and inspiring❤
😘😘😘
Thank you for sharing your summer tops! You gave me a lot of inspiration. I’m currently knitting a Campside Shawl by Alicia Plum in Drops Belle and I cannot wait to get it done because the yarn is so yucky feeling on my hands. Never again!
Yees!! I don’t know how a lot of people may enjoy knitting with this yarn. Wish you strength to finish it 💪🏼
In general there should be more videos like that. 😊
Will try to do this ☺️
@@knitting.your.life8 I like following projects on Instagram or UA-cam but only a few speak open about the good, bad and the ugly. Don’t get me wrong, I enjoy the positive environment but it doesn’t seem authentic and really sustainable… only consuming and knitting the the next big thing. How the fabric and yarn performs, about the „wrong“ things in patterns and how to fix it… so we learn together. 💪
@@TheSolipsist0 absolutely agree with this, learning about the yarn and some patterns' minuses can be crucial
Your beautiful baby is a star 😍 she stole all my attention while she was there ❤ even though you don’t wear it much, I just love the look of Friday Tee , it looks just great and suits you so so well!
Hehe, she is💕 I love the look of it, but not sure about the fit. It doesn't look like on my inspirational photos 😅
I love this la Franja top😍
It’s amazing, and knits pretty fast 😘
The color of the Cumulus Blouse is incredible. Can't wait to see it finished❤
I hope I'll find some inspiration to finish it ☺️
Your Johanne loop sweater is beautiful and looks great on you!
Thank you for watching and such nice words ☺️
I’m knitting two of my self-drafted sweaters now, but i got inspired to knit Dianthus Top now 😅 Johanne Loop sweater looks fantastic on you. I”m also thinking to knit it in the same yarn you did, since i have couple of skeins left of the same yarn :D I definitely think it’s going to work fine on your husband because of choice of Colours
I can't wait to see more of your sweaters🥹 I'm sure, they will be soooo cute. Johanne Loop sweater is definitely a perfect sweater to dive into colorwork 😏
Thank you. I’m hoping to knit a polo in the next few months. This has helped me to decide which one to get😃😃
Yeey, I'm so happy to hear this. Which one are you planning to knit?
At the moment leaning towards bepeu or charlie😅
I was thinking about these two as well 🥹
Think I’m with you on that gorgeous Charlie pattern! Though I’ve been eyeing up the Birkin for a while too! Thank you, I enjoyed this, great selection of designs.
Thank you for watching this video ☺️ Right? Charlie pattern seems so thoughtfully made ✨
I was between the Elizabeth Blouse and the Charlie Pullover for a while until I noticed that the Charlie includes increases in the collar that bring the points more forward. And then I realized I didn’t like how straight across the collar on the Elizabeth is. I think it’s just a great detail that tells me the Charlie Pullover is really well thought out and is going to have those extra touches. Right now I’m finishing up my Birkin Polo and I added increases on the collar and I’m really glad I did. I have found out that I don’t like when the points of collars sit too far back when you wear them
What a great catch! I’m just in love with the shoulders on Charlie Pullover and didn't really compare the collars. I'm slightly intimidated by the increases in double-knitting, but I think it should be double. How did you find the fit of Birkin Polo?
@@knitting.your.life8 One tip another knitter had in their Birkin ravelry notes was to split the stitches of the collar in half and knit in the round on magic loop instead of double knitting. That made it a lot easier to add increases. My gauge for the Birkin Polo was really off, so I’ve made a lot of modifications to adjust the pattern. I like how it fits, and you can customize it a bit in terms of body decreases/increases to get the right fit. Other knitters have great ravelry notes for this pattern so if you make it I definitely suggest reading those beforehand :)
Great tip, I find Ravelry really helpful, too ☺️
such a deep analysis! woow!
😘😘😘😘
Thank you so much! I have been debating which sweater to knit. Your spreadsheet is so helpful maybe I'll be able to decide soon
Awww I’m so happy to hear this. What is your preferred pattern for now?
@@knitting.your.life8 marcu polo but the Birkin is still a future make
@@edinacole6382wish you luck and patience with Marcu Polo, it's gonna be stunning 🎉
Thank you. This was a very useful comparison❤
😘😘😘
Like your analysis. I’m sticking to the Bepeu Blouse 😂
I love it tooooo. It's amazing and probably one of the easiest one ☺️
Can you please tell me the name of the first yarn shop you went to? I didn’t quite catch the name from the video. Great video and lovely yarn haul 😊
