Hey! That’s great. These are slightly heavier side around 10-11 lbs. Their California made is lighter. Sounds are great but hard to find light weight. Comparable to Fender Deluxe models👍 good luck!

@Peterkleemusic thanks a lot. I was leaning towards the new fender american ultra 5 string until I stumbled on these bass mods and did some research. Would you still recommend these?

@ Sure! If you are still ok with the weight, they got serious tones. The neck feels great. Comes with plek and carbon fiber neck, very strong. I got the fender ultra. it was 11.5 lbs, I sold and bought another one it’s 9.2 lbs. I personally okay with around 10-10.5 but 11 was too heavy. If you can find some light weight for both Fender and Bassmods, you can’t go wrong!

@Peterkleemusic Yeah I feel the same. 10-10.5 lbs is fine with me. I played a Fender Ultra last week and it was pretty light. If the bass mod is comparable to that then it's fine. Your video was awesome and really what made me seriously consider a bass mod after I was pretty set on the Fender lol...

Hi! That’s awesome your getting an ultra jazz. Yes, with the stock bridge, there’s a limit. After I research, people replace it to a hipshot or shimming the neck. (If you are already experienced a high end bass or even great quality basses)

Hi brother! there's no amp or on stage monitor. The source is the in-ear monitor system. I split into two one goes to my ear and the other goes to the camera that I use. I use Helix HX for the amp simulator and compressor. Thank you!

Thanks for comments. Andrew played on Bb tuning, so standard tuning can't play some of the low notes that he did on the record. good point!

@Peterkleemusic Would playing an octave up work for you? What about drop-tuning to match the key? Some of those notes are critical for the melodic movement to transition into the next chord. Just a thought. I would love to hear a remake of this with you performing it with those key pivot notes. I really like your fluid style and artistry.

I think that one has the best ‘pluck’ feel. I like the coat on the fretboard! For me just body shape is too like a P bass 😂
