It's perfect, I wasn't a fan of the 18. The 15 was okay.

Knob Creek 12 year old is not very good. Nobody should buy it. If anyone sees this on the shelf, just leave it there (and then send me a heads-up). 😇

I think it’s a solid bottle but is overpriced due to the special corn they have. Lucky there are plenty of other bourbons out there to meet your needs!

Got the small bottle of BT today in michigan for $15 , pleasantly surprised, a little sweet and drinks hotter than 90 proof but better than I expected. Gonna go back and get their store pick they just got in . 👍😉🥃 Cheers
How was the store pick?
The Benchmark Full Proof might be the most proof for least cost, and tastes like unsweet butterscotch to me, but did not make my rebuy list. 100 proof Old Grand-Dad and 100 proof Early Times blue top are on my rebuy list. Also for $31 on sale the Bernheim Original Wheat Whiskey, 90 proof aged 7 years. I go buy mostly how I feel the next few hours after 2 shots, also how I feel the next morning at 65 years old, measuring how well my liver gets along with each brand. Taste is a distant third for me.
We rarely see Early times blue top and Bernheim on the shelf. I have enjoyed the Early times though when I got it in SC. Drinking 2 shots before whiskey shopping is like eating before grocery shopping. Cheers!

$39!? Heaven Hill does it again; take it off the shelf and bring it back at double the price. I said it before and I'll say it again, once the bourbon market normalizes I'll definitely remember which companies are fleecing their loyal customers (not fade chasers/ tators).
I feel the bourbon market will normalize for some bottles to be on the shelf, I dont know if it will normalize to sell whiskey for lower prices again. I'm predicting Old Grandad is next on the cancel and bring back list
@@WildernessandWhiskey When the masses move away from bourbon/whiskey again because it's what the "old people drink" what are all these distilleries gonna do with all their newly built and stocked warehouses? MGP, Heaven Hill, Barton, Buffalo Trace etc. etc. have just invested billions into expansion, but there are already signs that the trend is moving onto tequila. Like I said; I'm gonna remember who tried to take advantage of me for sure. In the same token I'm gonna remember who tried to look out for their loyal customers while still trying to innovate like Buffalo Trace, Brown-Foreman, & Maker's Mark.
@@WildernessandWhiskeyPrices will come down as the market chases the next trend. Billions invested by Buffalo Trace, MGP, Heaven Hill, etc. etc. into expansion and no market to sell into means prices must be lowered. In fact the trend is already starting to lead into tequila.
I have a few of these Temu knockoffs and they all are very sharp.

I dig the review. It seems many other reviewers would place this in the Solid Blue category. As bourbon enthusiast we tend to chase the new thinking it’s always hard to find when sometimes it’s just new/ limited temporarily to certain distribution markets. If we can keep this thought in mind, I’d hold off on the double blue rating. And how far have we come if a beginner’s bourbon is costing $50, smh. Can’t wait for the next video and keep the good time rolling
The cost of this and other bourbons is outrageous. I miss the pre Covid days of finding good bourbon for a good price. As for the rating, it’s at first sip… sometimes after it opens up, i feel like I could change it. Appreciate the honest comment and thanks for watching!

I think my love for it is a bit sentimental. As it is one of the first few bourbons that got me into bourbon. Also, gotta support the locals...Basil Hayden Sr. was a Maryland Catholic who led a group of twenty-five Catholic families from Maryland into what is now Nelson County, Kentucky (near Bardstown) in 1785.
