KLR 650 - Wire cutters left on a Jeep Bumper at Stoplight
I pulled up behind a Jeep at a stop light and noticed wire cutters and wire left on the bumper. Had just enough time to snag it and give it back to them. Have you ever been driving behind someone and noticed items left on the bumper or top of the car?

1st GoPro 8 Footage on KLR 650 - July 21, 2020
Переглядів 514 роки тому
Got a gopro 8 and needed some test footage. Filmed some short clips and threw this together. The gopro app comes with a video editor which is what I used for this video. I like how easy it is to make a quick video but don't like how it's not using full fidelity clips for the video. It auto compressed and downgraded the footage. There may be a way to do this but I haven't figured it out yet.

1st ride on 2005 Suzuki Boulevard c50 with 10,000 miles on it. A great bike. I really like this one. The clutch position needs to be lowered for easier hand control and maybe a slight adjustment on the foot shifter lever position but other than those 2 things this bike is awesome! I love how comfortable and powerful this bike is! Thanks for letting me take it for a spin Mathew!
2007 Yamaha V-Star - Test Ride
Переглядів 4024 роки тому
Test rode my nephews 2007 Yamaha V-Star. I believe it has 19,000 miles on it. They got it for around $2000. Good deal! It's a sweet ride. I love how smooth this bike shifts and also love the sound this one makes. It feels almost identical to the Suzuki boulevard c50 but has a distinct sound to it. Looked it over a little more after the ride and it looks like it needs new front brake pads and pr...
UR65 FPV Flying Outdoors

I've flown FPV (first person view) a little before using but it wasn't until recently that I've attempted flips and tricks. I'm flying a micro quadcopter which allows me to fly crazy and not worry about crashing and breaking all the props and other parts of the quad. If I crash it's not a big deal and the mini quad just bounces on the ground. I look forward to improving my flying skills.
Bleeding Brakes on a KLR 650

After replacing my brake rotor and pads it was time to bleed the brakes on my klr 650. This is also my attempt to film and edit the process using my phone. Editing went well but started throwing an error once I got to bleeding the brakes...so I quit editing. Here's what I got.

Part 2 - Cracked Engine Block on Mercruiser 3.0 140

Removed exhaust manifold and found a large crack on the exterior outside. It appears to only be on the outside as I’ve run the boat for several hours (before I took off the manifold) and the oil stays clear. Going to try patching the crack with JB Weld and see if it holds. Video update to come.
Part 1 - Mercruiser 3.0 Liter Cracked Block?

Either my engine block is cracked or the exhaust manifold is cracked. Going to open it up and find out. Go to part 2 and part 3 to see the cracked engine block and how I fixed it! As of Aug 27th, 2021 this boat and engine are still running strong!

My guy owes you a new clutch lmao
Mine has been in the shop since June so I've been watching every c50 video on UA-cam. It's a fun bike
The opening shot of these two bikes was truly a sight to behold 😍The engine's sound along with the scenery sounded very peaceful. Many thanks for sharing your adventure with us 😊👏👍
the clunky gearbox gives the bike a solid, sturdy feel, somehow 🙂
Just bought a 2006 same color pattern. 14k miles, paid $2k for it.
Congrats man! That's a great deal! I love the look, sound and feel of this bike!
That dude was all over that clutch.Love my m50 man!
Never diss your bro's bike!

great video I'm about to pick up a 2005 c50 so we'll see what happens I'm used to riding sport touring like a Kawasaki concours but I think this will be a good fit
Hey where did you order the gasket from?
I ordered it from Amazon and it looks like they're still in stock. Just search for "Sierra International, 18-4367, Exhaust Manifold Gasket Set". I'm not sure I can place lnks in comments but I'll try. Here's the url for the same one I purchased: www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0001CLFHY/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
@@rideon365 Thank you....
Just bought an 05 identical to that but with bags. First ride home (first ride other than taking friends bikes up and down the street), got a wave from a Harley rider, stalled at my first red light, forgot to put the kickstand down when I parked it so it fell but thankfully on grass. I'm fucking hooked man. Still got that first ride high going. She's got the right amount of torque for my 150 pound ass

A perfect example of my excellent shifting skills! Thank you for the reminder! 😆
White bike needs valve adjustment
You're probably right. The bike was at around 19,000 miles when this video was filmed which was also when my nephew had purchased the bike. I don't think it had ever had a valve adjustment previously.
What makes you say that?
I have a 2009 (its may 2023) and I love it. I too noticed the 'dent' in the right fork, and thought ** maybe its been in accident** , but then I saw in pics and vids the others were like that too. Engineer: "the key is in the way!" Designer: "too late, work around it!" Engineer: " hold my beer, and hand me that ...."
Haha! So true! I thought the same thing! 😆 Honestly though...it's an awesome bike and I would love to get my own!
@@rideon365 My 2009 i got for $2100 two months ago, and it passed inspection $20. I put on new tires for $300. Insurance $200 for one year, registration $50. I am very happy..
@@joeanon5788 Congrats man! The ride down the open roads are even sweeter knowing you got a steal of a deal!
Hard to take you guys seriously- no boots/jacket/ riding gear ! You will go down at some point , even slow speed can ruin your day.. Sounds like the cooling fan only cut in on one bike.. I got the same engine in my old 92 vx800 I think- tremendous torque. cheers
Appreciate the feedback brother! I've been down on asphalt, dirt and concrete so I understand the consequences of no gear (or poor quality gear!). You won't see me without proper shoes, pants gloves and a good jacket....except in this video! ;) Ride on brother and enjoy the open roads! - James
Beware this scam! It's how trans women are getting guys on motorcycles to invite them out for a free Bud Light!
caught a wallet on the trunk lid
Nice! That's a great save! Loosing a wallet SUCKS!
Where is the front brake? I don't think you're downshifting correctly.
Who needs to downshift? Just drop a gear and rip it!!! 😆
Same problem 3 time use JB Weld and every time the patch comes off, and milky oil the mechanic says maybe internal crack so last try... today i drill a-holes and insert bolts after that new JB Weld and going to try a block sealer in the cooling system if don't work i will sell my boat.
I had the same problem with mines. My block was crack. All I did was use a grinder to dig into the crack and drilled the ends so it would stop splitting and then Jb weld it up. It’s not really holding any pressure. Just needs to stop water from coming out. It is still holding strong a year later.
It’s so beautiful the views dude. What part of the country is that?
Thanks Elly! It's in Cache Valley in Northern Utah.
He stalled it
That was a really nice ride 👌. Thanks for sharing. I guess I'm not the only one that keeps checking if blinker is off.
Exhaust manifold gasket is bad. That's what's between what you're looking at where the water comes out at the end of your video
Thanks Walter. Sadly it wasn't the gasket but was an exterior engine block crack right below the gasket. Surprisingly I was able to repair the crack using jb weld and it's still holding after all these years!
Good video I have the v star 650 now as my starter bike and looking realy hard at the c50t for my next bike.

On my boat is a 4.3 v6 1997 mercruiser and have a lot water on the oil, what do you think?......thanks, 🤔
I like it better than some of those Harleys
Did it still hold up how long did it last ?
Yes, still holding and operating after 3 years. I took this boat/engine out 2 weeks ago and it still runs strong!
wow, poor clutch is right. of course i was raised on a farm and driving a clutch truck before i was 7 and first bike, honda 50 trail on 5th bday does make a difference. best of luck to ya. nothing better than touring down the road on 2 wheels in my opinion. you'll get it, hang in there.
Oh my, the poor clutch in that Yamaha ;)
lol funny because that’s a Suzuki
I need to see behind it what that hole is cuzz i dont no
You can see the hole by going to my part 2 video about this problem. I show the crack and also show how I repaired it. Thanks for leaving a comment! Have a great day!
Hi sir! If i may ask, what year model is that engine?
The model of the engine is a Mercruiser MCM 140 with a displacement of 181 CDI. If the engine is the same as the boat I believe it's a 1982. At :25 seconds into the video I show the engine tag with all the details of the engine (except the year) If there's a way to look up the year using the serial number, it's also listed on the tag: A413253.
Cool ride...
Hello, is your jb weld still holding up?? What kind did you use??
Yes, still holding up after 3 years. I used the original Cold Weld formula that comes in 2 tubes that I got from Wal-Mart but it can be purchased at almost any hardware or auto store. Here's a link to the jbwelds website of the one I used: www.jbweld.com/product/j-b-weld-twin-tube
jesus dont be afraid of it lol
Lube the driveshaft splines
every 60k for that
Can you explain to me the drilling part sir?
Sorry for the slow reply. Yes, you just drill a hole at each end of the crack. It's supposed to prevent the crack from continuing to grow further. Just use a drill bit rated for metal and choose a bit that's not much bigger than the width of your crack and drill 2 holes...one on each side of the crack. After that just make sure the paint from around the crack and holes has been grinded and cleaned off so the JBweld has a good surface to stick to. Best of luck!!!
@@rideon365 i got it fixed ..video helped Thank you
wow!
I have the 2010 CT50 boulevard and I love it, very comfortable bike to ride
Thanks for the comment Tracey! I love the Boulevard bikes too! Such a well rounded and comfortable motorcycle!
was watching your video I own a 2003 Bayliner 175 with the same 3.0 mercury mercruser think it has the same issue is this the best way to fix it I don't want to have to buy a new block if it can be fixed man these boats are fragile idk what to do anyone please help me would appreciate it thank you in advance! 🇺🇸
If you have a crack in your engine block and water is leaking into the boat, I'd first verify there's not an interior engine block crack and make sure you're not getting water in your oil. Put a water muffs on on the gearcase, turn on the water hose and run the engine for a few min. Empty your oil and verify there's no water in your oil. If the oil looks milky, the engine block is garbage and there's no way to repair the block. If the engine oil is clean then track down the exterior engine block crack (mine was under the exhaust manifold) then grind the around the crack to clear off any rust, paint and dust, then seal the crack w/ jbweld and that should be a decent fix to be able to run the boat. My JBweld repair on my boat has held up for the past 3 years with no issue. Good luck!
Thats not true .. the engine block can be repaired even if the oil is milky. You just need to pull the engine and find where the leak is coming from then replace or repair.
Are they liquid cooled?
Yes, the 2005 Suzuki Boulevard c50 is liquid cooled however the 2007 Yamaha V star 650 is air cooled.
Do you recommend the c50 for constant personal use?
Yes, for sure! I'm impressed with the c50 as it's a very comfortable bike with plenty of power...not to mention it looks and sounds awesome! Changing the oil on the bike is very easy too. That's one thing I really like about the c50 vs the v-star.
@@rideon365 Thanks for the recommendation, nice bike your c50
What do you do? Did you fixing it or
@Ashley I pulled off the exhaust manifold which exposed a crack on the outside of the engine block. I ground off the metal around the crack, drilled out the corners of the crack then applied JB weld to the full length of the crack. Once it was dried I reassembled everything. The boat has now been running great for the past 3 years without any leaks or issues.
Love my C50. That’s some pretty country where y’all at.
So what did you end up liking better ? I have a c50 its not a rocket ship but it gets up and goes and handles really well il be in it for a few years and probably grab a c90
Both bikes have their advantages. I liked the smooth shifting on the v-star (which is weird because I believe both are wet plate clutches) but I liked the extra power on the c50. If I were to buy one right now, I'd go with the c50! It has plenty of power and has a very comfortable ride. I changed the oil on a c50 and then changed the oil on a Yamaha V-star and really liked how much easier and convenient it was to change the oil on the c50. Being able to just unscrew the filter off the bike was WAY more convenient than removing 6 screws and 2 plates that it took to get to the v-stars oil filter. Whoever the engineer was that put the oil filter in the ridiculous position on the v-star needs a slap to the face! :)
@@rideon365 im guessing thats the yamaha 650?? And yeah the 1100 yamaha u have to take exhaust on to change oil lol!! But the c50 has some annoying things as well. The motor can be a little ticky sounding and to do a coolant change you need to take the gas tank off. But it has decent power and is good for long rides ! I love it !
@@apexsquad5078 Yeah, it was on the 650. That's crazy on the 1100 that the exhaust has to be taken off. That's ridiculous!
Milky oil means crack is into a combustion chamber. Block is junk. Exception: cylinder can be sleeved if you want to go to that extent. ($$$)
Milky oil doesn't always mean a crack in the combustion chamber...however if you're engine hasn't been submerged with water then yeah, it probably is a crack in the combustion chamber area. The engine block repaired in this video is still running strong today with no leaks and no milky oil. JB weld for the win!
Just came across this video and want to know if the jb weld is still holding up? I too have a cracked block which is right under the manifold and I'm not all to sure if I should fix it with jb weld or have a shop professional fix it. Thanks in advance
@ Patrick Yep, The JB weld is still holding. I've taken the boat out multiple times this summer and haven't had any water leakage where I did the JB weld repair.
RideOn365 thanks a lot for the reply
When u drilled the crack did you go all the way thru?
Good ?
Yes, it's supposed to help out the crack from cracking further.
