I already listened to the podcast, but I'm watching too because I'm so excited!
I made the video - and I also watched it because I'm equally excited about the changes 😅😊
@@thrivinginmotherhood haha you are too cute!
Great changes!
I love your excitement Jessica!!! Thank you for all your hard work that you've poured into this planner!! I know its going to help so many!!! I also love your excitement because you've been there and you know it works!!! Blessings on you!!! <3 <3
Thank you 😊

Cheering you and your family on with starting a new school year Jessica!!! Praying for you too!!! :) <3
Starting school is always a fun but crazy time ❤ Hope that your family continues loving it! My kids usually make it 2-3 weeks before they are tired of school no matter how excited they were to start it again 😂 We're on week 4 this week and the preschooler is over learning her letters. 😅
It's the preschooler that seems most excited at our house too 😊
Your kids will appreciate you being real with them! 🥰
This is good!
I love this so much!!!! Jessica you are such a breath of fresh air!!!!!! I am just finishing a week of vacation, so to be reminded to do a review now is so timely!!!! Stop, pause and look, so good!!!!!! I am so blessed to be able to go on a vacation but being with family can be challenging. Expectations, different personalities, etc. Thank you for also reminding us to review how or if we've changed and our character growth. Again im not a mom but we all need to self review, in all stages of life! And being in a long single stage can seem never ending or discouraging. But reviewing reveals so much and is surprisingly encouraging!!!!! Celebrate the little things!!!! I am able to see fruit, growth in my life! Something I’m learning and trying to put into practice on a daily basis is, inviting God into every part of each day! What has tripped me up in past family vacations didn’t as much this year! And what did trip me up I was able to recover from quicker, with Gods help! Blessings on you Jessica!!!! Praying continually for your health and for you all as a new school year begins!!!! <3 <3
I've been focusing on my circle of concern! This video was very inspiring and helpful to hear mistakes that I am Definitely making. Here's to my journey towards thriving!
I'm glad you were able to gain personal insight!
Motherhood can be so overwhelming, sometimes it’s hard to know where to even begin. I love these clear steps you outline
I'm so glad they are helpful!
Do you have a visual printout to goes with this? It all spoke so deeply to me!!
Thanks for asking! The only one I have currently is the Surviving to Thriving checklist, but not these mistakes specifically. But I'll add it to a list to work on!
love it! (There's a small typo in your title.) So excited for your tool kit. Any chance it will be coming out before fall? Looking forward to getting it! :)
I hope it will be ready to launch in the next few weeks! And thank you for pointing out the typo - I updated it!
Wise inside, looking forward for more 💗
Timely video! Currently in the reentry phase and feeling my way to what's next! ❤
Yes! I am so glad to hear it!
We're on the other side of that problem where they come up with all the ideas and have a backlog of all the projects they want to want to do but can't let go of despite really wanting to just read more books and play outside
It is a great problem to have! But the struggle is real.
You are so encouraging Jessica!!! <3 Your steps are helping me even though im not a mom! So much wisdom!!! I love your heart!! >3
Thank you ❤️
Getting our thoughts from God! The power of prayer! How to invest in things that may or may not be temporary? Why bother? Embrace all the good things right now! Is it even worth it? Go all in!! Living with no regrets!! Thriving thoughts! Look reflectively and eliminate suffering. So many great nuggets of wisdom!!! Thank you so much Jessica!!! Blessings on you and your family on your road trip!!! <3 <3
Thanks for sharing what resonated with you!
This hit home for me! As we have been in a 2 bed 2 bath condo for 6 years now… was only going to be a year - enjoy it for now while seeing where we end up next
Yes!! Isn't life so unpredictable!
I am so sorry that you have had to learn things by trial and error and with no family close by!! But you are amazing Jessica!!! You are such a blessing to so many mama's!!! Continuing to pray for you!!!! <3 <3
I used to be sorry too, but now I am grateful ☺️
I'm happy to say I'm fully into Normalizing now. 😊 My 5th is 8.5M old, we start our fall school semester in the morning, the kitchen is clean, the table and counters are wiped down, the floors are tidied and swept, and a load of laundry was started before bed. I'm working on making a routine of tidying and sweeping every night and on cleaning the bathroom every Monday morning. If I can master these things for a few weeks I'll be on to Exploring! Your advice and podcasts have been super helpful for me the last several months!
Oh my goodness you are amazing!!! I love your wins! Thank you for sharing your progress - it's what keeps me going!
So true!!
I love your wisdom in these different steps!
Not sure if this is a recent video but I love your hair cut this way Jessica!!!!!!!
Thanks!
Problem I want to solve: help my daughter learn to sleep through the night in her own room. (She is almost two). We have done different types of sleep training at different times, but travel, sickness, or teething always seem to cause a backslide in progress. Help! If she were to sleep totally unassisted throughout the night, I think I wouldn’t feel as though I am in survival or re-entry. Side note: I know we have way too many commitments going on right now too. We are renovating parts of our home, and we don’t have much storage space. Therefore, tools, materials, and random gear that would normally go in a basement or an attic are floating all around the house. I think once we have our remodel complete and our stuff decluttered and then stored, life will feel so much more free!
P.S. Thank you for these encouraging and informative videos, Jessica!
Agreed, thank you for these videos! Can’t wait for the toolkit to come out! This video explained so much of what my family has been experiencing in our journey from surviving to thriving. We’re in the exploring stage, although if I’m being honest, I keep wanting to go back to normalizing because I want our home to run better and so we’re mid declutter. We homeschool and I’m tired of the mess all of the time. 😅 Can’t wait for the tool kit, and also to know what next month’s habit is going to be in your Mom Matters Too group. That program has been soooo helpful!!!
Rachel I can relate to both! I will absolutely be including things about sleep in the toolkit - we've learned the hard way all the ways NOT to do sleep before we finally figured it out 😅
Thank you for sharing where you are at and the progress you've made, and where you are struggling too. I'm taking notes for the toolkit! Moms Matter Too next month will be micro habits for emotional regulation.
I am so grateful they are helping you and thank you for taking a moment to give feedback and let me know what you are working on!
Amen! It’s like the debt snowball but for home and life. 😅 the more we automate the repetitive necessities, the more bandwidth we create for ourselves. And the smaller the changes, the greater the likelihood we’ll keep up with the new habits.
Yes! You nailed it!
Such a great example that can be applied to any area of life!!!
Try coleslaw. 😅
You are amazing Jessica!!! How are kids supposed to learn if they aren't given the chance or allowed to make a mess!! And learning from our mistakes is growing. You are setting such a great example to your kids!!! You dont give up and you are enjoying learning in the process!!! Well done!!!! Im not a huge fan of sauerkraut but maybe I haven't had the right one yet. :)
It is definitely an acquired taste! It took me awhile but now I crave it.
Just finished listening to this, loved this podcast episode!! Such great ideas in here, thank you so much for making this video!! We love growing and digging up sweet potatoes and potatoes too!! It’s like an Easter egg hunt but so much better and healthier, lol! We also do the thing where we cut the strawberries in pieces when the harvests are small. 😂 What a fun episode, and inspiring. I felt like I was failing at gardening but this podcast gave me so much perspective, thank you! Hope you’re feeling better healthwise! Have a blessed day. :)
Yes!! I had the same experience - we aren't failing at all!!!
Loving mom matters too! Can’t wait for this next month’s topic on technology use!!! 🤗
I love working on these habits with you and the rest of the community!
You are amazing Jessica!!! I love that you are teaching your whole family to help out and that it doesnt just depend on you!!! And you nailed it, with God's help!!!! Blessings on you Jessica!!!!! <3
Thank you 😊
That's amazing! Love this!
This is confirmation to me I just read in Hebrews about observing the sabbath and this is further confirmation that I need to hold fast to that spiritual discipline!
What a beautiful connection to Sabbath worship!
Thank you for sharing that parable! So cool! I love when God gives us a picture like that! It’s so true! Pruning produces fruit and growth! The goal is to have clarity of what matters most, so we can spend our time and energy on what matters most!! I love this so much!!! Asking ourselves questions seems so simple but it’s such a powerful outcome!! You are so wise Jessica!!! I’m learning so much from you!!! 🥰
Thank you for taking a moment to share what stands out to you!
I love the "Parable of the Peach Tree"! I'm bouncing between Survival and Normalizing and Exploring with my 8, 6, 4, 2, & 7M old and a husband working crazy hours. It's so easy to try to do too many good things and get overwhelmed which sends me back into survival mode. Too many good things can be bad!
You summed it up perfectly!
Thank you, Jessica! Yes, it's time for me to do a review. We are halfway into June and I haven't taken the time to look at how May went. Thank you for your encouragement 😊.
Your welcome!
I love that you involved your kids in the process!!! Age appropriate tasks are definitely setting them up for success now and in the future!! Thanks for sharing this Jessica!! Blessings on you as you start a new week!!! Praying for you continually Jessica!!! <3 <3
Thank you 😊
This is so helpful, I’m going to share this with all my mom friends! This is such a challenge for us and really love your system for managing all the creativity. 😁🤗
I'm so glad it helps! Thank you for sharing!
Age appropriate cleaning up is important too!!! :)
You did it Jessica!!!!! 🎉So happy for you!!!! 🎉You are an inspiration to so many!!! You dont just talk it but you walk it out too!!!! Thank you for that!! ❤ Amen!!!!! Amen!!!! Amen!!!! When we abide in Him, He abides in us!! His power in us is greater than our weakness!! ❤
Thanks for cheering me on every step of the way! I'm glad the questions have had an impact on you too ❤️
@@thrivinginmotherhood 🥰
Excellent ideas! Necessity is the mother of invention! Thank you!
Bless your heart! God will bless you for your perseverance and being teachable Jessica!!!! Continuing to speak the powerful name of Jesus over!!! <3 <3
Equipping and modelling is setting kids up for success!!!! And when you get excited about creating, your kids will too!!! I heard about giving kids an inventors box. Just simple supplies to help them use their imagination. And if they tell you they are bored you can give them a household chore to do. They dont stay bored for long!!!! ;) Your journal sounds like such a great resource! Even though im not a mother, reflecting, changing the way we think and being grateful can help every stage in life! Im sorry you had to struggle for this journal to be made Jessica but so thankful you listened to the Lord's prompting in creating it!!!!!
What a fun idea to have the inventors box! I absolutely agree - the journal is for everyone no matter what the stage or circumstance of life is!
Just goes to show you that having magic moments doesnt have to be planned!!! Celebrating moments of all shapes and sizes!!!! I love that so much!!!! Cheering you on Jessica!!! You are almost there!!!! <3 <3 Praying for you!!!! I am loving the questions that you ask yourself even night!!! They are so helpful!!! My mom is struggling a bit living on her own in a seniors apartment building! She struggles with feeling lonely sometimes but also not feeling like gets much accomplished. I shared these questions with her and she is now asking them to herself each night. And I helped her to see that she is accomplishing way more than she realizes!!!! Thank you so so much for this resource Jessica!!! Its so life giving!!! Blessings on you!!!!! <3
I am so glad you could share them and that they are helping! It is often my small means that God can accomplish great things in our lives.
Thank you so much for a wonderful video. My daughters are also very creative, especially 8 year old one. I must say often it is overwhelming for me as I usually do most of the work and it occupies me for a long time, that´s why I started refusing and waiting for better time for me...I will think about it more to let myself be more willing to spent time this way. Couches, folding matress - that´s big yes for us too :-) I am curious about your wooden boxes - how many of them have you got? Don´t they get injuries when stacking them? :-D As far as books, unfortunately my girls hate them...I surrounded them with many books since being born...I think that´s the reason they don´t like stories....I feel desperate about it, I love books and world provided in them - it´s been for years now, so I don´t see a big chance of change in them. Thank you again for great ideas and I am really curious about the next video :-)
It sounds like a lovely home you've created for your family. We built 10 wooden boxes. In the 8 years the kids have played with them we've only had 2 smashed toes :). Currently they are being used in a fort, in a "horse" and part of ship.
