Yes you still have to scan them but it is a glitch where you can see the cargo indicator for ships you don't own.

I'll have to try that. It seems that the missiles ignore single flares and will keep tracking until they hit. Very annoying

@@SneakySnipar yeah exactly. It works better that way. Usually 3 flares is enough though I tend to use 5 at once against torps.

The bigger the ships signature the more flares you need. Takes 6 or 7 to flare missiles reliably in my Corsair.

Oh no it is, these guys were not great pilots. If 2 equally skilled pilots face off the lightning wins every time in a 1v1 and even maybe a 2v1.

Another thing is that a hurricane with a manned turret is insanely op since the turrets got auto aim. It used to be extremely hard to hit anything with a manned turret and then they made it extremely easy. Sort of cant find an in between :D

We will have to see where the lightning stands once the shield fix is in. That should be a hemispheric shield but it is a bubble currently which just makes it insane. The F8c also is not the strongest fighter in the game at the upper skill level, that is the hornet right now because it has a bug on the main thruster giving it godlike acceleration. But to the point of those two lightnings, aside from the skill issue, the most blatant fuckup was their loadout. Had that been my lightning in that fight there the hurricane would have been toast, as I run laser on the S2 and spice it up with distortion on the S3. Already a tough 1v1 fight for a hurricane as I can just abuse my superior shield to stack that distortion damage in trades until I disable shields and then the fight is over. And I need to reiterate that the lightning currently has FOUR TIMES THE SHIELD OF THE HURRICANE. Twice because it has two S2 shields, QUADROUPLE because that shield is a bubble instead of the inteded two hemispheres. Meaning the hurricane has to deal 4x my damage to win the trade. Not sure if I am a better pilot that those two lightnings (I would like to think so) but I would not have to be, my loadout with their skills would have been enought. Once these muppets in their stock F8Cs ran out of ballistic they were flying with half their hardpoints, 4s2 instead of 6s2 + 2s3. (that´s LESS THAN HALF the burst DPS btw) Had that been two lightnings with a proper pvp loadout the fight would have ended before they even got to space. The Hurricane would quite likely have been distorted within the first five passes and crashed into daymar. In fact I fought stock lightnings with my customized one and it was curbstomps all around, ironically the lightning has so much HP that they usually got shut down before they popped. Ballistics work on the Hurricane because you free up power for the boost and shields and the AD4B genuinely delivers. The F8c is scary with a laser distortion mix but does not benefit much from ballistics outside of PVE.
