Third time returning to Buttonwillow with Ioniq 5 N
No changes to the setting from previous run, all stock except wheels and tires.
I went little more aggressive on brakes and acceleration.
At this pace, brakes starting to show it's limits as well as tires almost sending me straight off from the track on main straight on different lap.
2nd track day on A052 295/30/20

N Race : Sprint

Second time returning to the track with Ioniq 5 N. This time I upgraded the wheels and tires. The suspension definitely needs upgrade to minimize the sway with better tires, but I'm not sure if tires will be able to provide enough grip to take sudden weight shifting with less sway. Car is completely stock. The run was very first session of the day. No issue with the brakes throughout the day, but it may have fade or fluid boiling with better grip tires. Stock tires just cannot support the performance of the car. It couldn't even hold it's grip for a full lap. It's hard to tell in the video, but the driver on top is very smooth with inputs(steer, accel and brake) and the driver in the bottom is very harsh with the inputs. Both drivers did 2:01.xxx, but the driver in the bottom had a traffic on sunset. If it wasn't the traffic, they would've been very close, most likely within a tenth of a second. After 4 months of delaying, I finally got Electric PS pump retrofitted in my vette. This will help keep PS fluid temperature low and prevent PS seal damages. It's been over 4-5 years since I drifted, but muscle memory doesn't forget what I've done for a long time. It's open season for Drift!

Got little faster than last time, I tried to focus on over all pace and I was able to hit 1:56 consistently. Nice work! It was good talking to you, I was the guy asking about the other 5N owner. I was there in a Model 3. Is that the real mechanical noise that the car makes or is that the sound system?
It’s the sounds system 😂 I only turn them on when I’m at the track. It just feels so weird to drive on the track without any noise.

Wow you put F14's on it ? Doesn't KW make coilovers for these now ?
Yes I took a chance knowing a lot of guys run F14 at the track and it's loading rating seemed to be okay. Apex is working on making forged wheels for 5N so I'll buy those once they're available. As for coilovers, I rather use Neotech springs with stock struts than pay over $3k for KW v3. I would only consider 3-way adjustable coilovers.

@@gewfsdfsdfsfgg7140 엄청난 랩타임은 절때 아니지만 빠른쪽에 속한다고 보시면 될 듯 합니다. 달려보진 않았지만 인제의 여러 랩타임을 봤을때 얼추 인제의 1:50 - 1:55초 정도이지 않을까 싶네요

어떤 트랙이냐에 따라 랩타임 차이가 많이 날수 있다는거 아시죠? 😅
@@z06yellowcorvette52 네 당연하죠 ㅎ 인제서킷은 아시겠지만 차량에 가해지는 난이도가 높은 레벨의 서킷이라 한국에선 차량 성능의 기준으로 평가 할때 많이 언급되는 곳입니다 타이칸 터보s도 인제 2바퀴 돌지 못하거든요 브레이크가 밀려서 그 정도로 데미지가 높음

If you want to get better records, you need better tires. The basic tires are for riding on public roads.... Electric vehicles have inevitable limitations due to their weight.

@@flsupraguy I had to drive out to the ChargePoint on the tracy ave exit. I’m going to rent a camper parking at BW next time since it has 220v available for charging. It should allow me to run full day without leaving track for charging

전자식 파워펌프 컨버젼하시고 단점이 어떤게있나요?❤
@@roeunpapa 전자식 펌프에 따라 다른데, 제 차에 달려있는 펌프는 자체적으로 운전자의 조향 방향을 읽어서 유압조절을 해주는 방식이라 펌프의 반응이 좀 느리더라구요. 평소 운전시에는 전혀 문제가 없는데 서킷에서 달릴때 오버스티어를 잡을때나 빠르게 핸들 조향을 바꿀때 느린반응으로 인해 핸들조작이 좀 힘들어요. 그래서 다시 벨트식 펌프로 돌아갔네요

I think about that also. My thought is that laptime maybe the same or similar but I can bet you that the car will last longer, ie. tires, brakes... with smooth input.
