@@elichi5259 There will be another upload of this song too...this video has a 'happy accident anomaly' occur with the visual affects...I accidentally stopped recording as the guitar riff begins but luckily managed to start another recording soon after resulting in one repetition of the guitar lick being lost but not to a detriment of the song. When I tried to join the two clips together using my phone for some reason the processing added what appears to be an effect on the video....which is quite fitting for the song and reminds me of other lord Huron videos like the alive at whispering pines set etc. Hopefully when transferred to my pc I'll be able to join the two videos without the accidental fx seen on this video and it will be clean...I will be leaving this one on though because of its synchronatic spooky nature haha. Enjoy!!

i dont know the name of the chords, they are partial chords, some fretted strings some open and some muted, the first postion is on the E string tenth fret "D"(index finger) the second(middle finger on the G string at tenth fret (A)....slides up a fret and added finger(you'll work that out)....and basically its the same positon slid up and down the fret board for the chords.....you'll work it out....dropping right down to the second fret then back up via the third fret and fifth if i remember right.....i hope this helps......its quite clear on the video if you can zoom in or get your reading glasses on haha..........old age eh, i've started needing the old reading glasses too! Enjoy!

with that open chord shape i mention, theres a slight variation in it as you move it up and down.....when the two fingers are on the same fret, sometimes the lower finger is on the fret up....experiment and i'm sure you'll work it out. I believe greg uses this open chord shape on "Sempre" from his Random Desire album too.....i worked that one out but couldnt quite get the timing to work with the vocal....got to work it out some more yet.......been a bit distracted since initially working out Sempre is very similar.

a good place to look and study Sempre is when Greg did the Gold diggers show during lockdown, i've just not had time to rewatch and work it out yet....being more honest, the two songs Toy Automatic and Sempre are a bit too emotional and synchronitic as i lost someone to cancer in 2018, still not quite through the loss yet. Hardly been able to listen to In Spades since, there was so much coincidence with the songs and what what happening in my life with my love who passed October 2018...aged 51. Toon soon, Too Late, Complete.

Thanks. I wouldn't know how to describe it, i just listened to the track and watched a few live performances.... since making this video the rhythm is now tighter.... There's a little bit of the rhythm which is upstrokes just before the chord change
