Fun days at Steak 'n' Eggs Farm
Приєднався 10 чер 2021
We live a unique way of life on a small farm in Iowa. I'm a big city girl (grew up in California and Nothern Virginia) turned country girl when I met my husband. We have three wonderful little children in which I homeshool. We grow most of our own food, raise a large garden every year and have several hundred berry plants and fruit trees out. We also raise beef cows, have a jersey house cow, pigs, goats, rabbits, a mixed poultry flock, and a bunch of barn cats and a few hunting dogs. We also have some colonies of bees that we emmensily enjoy!
We're practical people living a practical way of life and thought we'd share our way of life and tidbits of knowledge and country wisdom with you all. We enjoy living off the land and are thankful for the bounty the Good Lord has blessed his people with.
Enjoy our channel as you share our practical, simple yet rewarding way of life!

They make for gnarley ammo baseballs to pelt your friends with in fall too.
That's would hurt I'm quite sure😊 thanks for the comment
This is super cool, I never knew they came in those spiky ball things. I love chestnuts.
Thanks for the comment! They are super cool.
UA-cam was just being smart and saying you look young
Thanks 😀👍😊
Can’t beat fresh veggies I’m jealous
Thanks for the comment Fresh veggies are awesome.
A miter saw would be better.
Thanks I already had the table saw out! I'll pull the miter saw out next time! Appreciate the comment
She is so cute.😂
Thanks 😀
Ole Allis runs good
Thanks 👍
I saw one guy grew his in buckets with the bottoms cut off. That way they could grow all the way down to the soil if needed and when time to harvest he just turned over the buckets onto cardboard and had easy harvesting . He got several finger to fist wide sweet potatoes 🍠 up to almost 2 feet long, on each plant with a few that made their way into the soil below. I think he averaged about 3 -4 pounds per bucket .
That's a good idea. I'll try that next time.
the good ole goosebomb
Thanks for the comment 👍
Doggo says, "I came down that way, why can't I go up that way?" 🥰😍😂🐾🤣😅
Thanks for the comment. 😀
Cool!
Thanks 😊
Nice harvest. I wish I could have heard all of your tips though 😊
Watch the related video attached to the bottom of this short. I made a video of my tips. Thanks for the comment.
use the ladder, Dawg. u will thank me later.
😊😃😁
It's very dangerous to be using long sleeves
I like a bit of danger in my life Keeps it exciting.
Good job Girls
Thanks!!
Your dog said, I'm outta here.
That he did and he went😀
I would have reshot it or boosted the speech audio. It was almost impossible to hear you when you leaned over to pour the oil. If you dont have a lapel mic it wouldnt be a bad idea to get one
Thanks . My apologies I had lost my voice a bit. Microphone is on the way.
Her pickles are really good
Thanks my friend 😀
👋😀
Thanks 😀
How Blessed you are!! You are living the dream of soooo many people! We Love you!

I like the way you done that. We always added paraffin wax to the mixture
Thanks. We wax our separately. Thanks for the suggestion. I'll have to try that.
My sweet potatoes were huge too! Must have been a great year for them!
Good deal!! Glad yours turned out well.
I already have a headache.
Ohh No. Eat some sweet taters... may help.😀
Awesome song
Thanks! It's a good one.
So instead of just telling us how you grew your tomatoes you expect us to go back and look through potentially hours and hours worth of content to find the one video or one segment of video where you talk about how you made your tomatoes. Maybe you're new to the whole UA-cam thing but us humans have an attention span of a distracted squirrel so please no teasers no part 2 just tell us
Thanks for the suggestion... Check my tomato tip short posted 10/16/24 and you'll see my tip. Thanks for commenting.
I loved this song when I was a kid
Thanks for leaving the comment. It's a good old song for sure.
Very Nice! Forgot about that good old song.
Thanks for the comment. I love this song. Have a blessed day.

beautiful pelts
Thanks I appreciate it and thanks for the comment
I hear sound like that when I forget I'm preheating a pan. I'm not entirely sure if your intentions are to go viral, but if your intending on something like that, you don't have to explain the video. You could just go straight to the fire. Your/her could overlay her voice and just have her say 'i just love the comfort/sound of a wood stove in my home'. I do mean it as constructive criticism, she's got a decent voice. If you wanna just make casual videos, which is absolutely fine, keep doing what you enjoy. Mean the best and wish you well. Seems like your living like I aspire to.
I appreciate your feedback and perspective!
Old buildings are 24inches. Codes change
That they do I am quite sure the 24 inch code was well before my time. Thanks for the info and the comment I appreciate it.
Looks great! So nice that you could have the type of door that you dreamt of.
Thanks I appreciate the compliment and comment
Good video. AT least you inspire confidence that its not impossible to accomplish. Most wont even post a video on how to clean chimney.
Thanks! Critical thinking goes a long way and will get you out of most situations. I appreciate your comment
What did she spray on the fish 🐟
Just water😊 children being children
@ oh I thought it might’ve been a trick you folks do so I was curious about it lol
TREE MY DOG 🦝
😀 good hunting to you
3:04 wow thats amazing, you could use that to get bad odors out
For sure. Nothing like fresh air. Thanks for the comment
Look up the firecracker trick! You won't have to do that anymore
I'm not sure I really want to try that trick in the house. Bet it'll work though. Thanks for the comment and suggestion.😀
