Hello my name is Joe I am a WW2 living history re-enactor living in the United Kingdom my main focus of interest is the axis forces between 1933-1945. The current units I am Reenacting is the 3/Kompanie 1st Panzergrenadier Regiment 1st SS Panzerdivision Leibstandarte SS Adolf Hitler, Fallschirmjäger regiment 2, and 82nd Airborne 505th PIR RCT.
I have been re-enacting for around 6 years now and have had many great mentors and friends helping me to build my impression’s and gain references and knowledge to study and portray history correctly I am still learning and therefore may make mistakes but within time I should overcome these mistakes strictly Non-Politcal Apolitical.

Dan is great for 502 but not for 82nd as he will admit please research your regt also some of your original kit looks repro
I have been researching the regiment, just this past week I’ve been over in France following in the 505ths footsteps. As for my kit there are some repro bits but also a lot of original
Why would wearing a section of 'cut up parachute' as a neck wrap/protector be 'way overdone and naff' when that's an accurate representation of what actually occurred during the period? Is that just your opinion? The green "neckerchief/neck rag" is not even the right colour for the time period my friend..
So yes it was an accurate thing and was done, however it would of been 1 or 2 guys out of say 10 guys that’d of done it so 2:10 ratio. On the reenactment scene it appears that almost everyone does it which’d be about a 9:10 ration and with every doing it it’s overdone and when everyone does it it does look a little bit naff. As for the green one it is fine for the period as they come in a huge variety’s of patterns and colours back then, usually I use this for my Fallschirmjäger impression. But it also can work for U.S

@@4192362 I’ve never played customs fees, VK are good with shipping as they do it in a way that you don’t have to pay customs charges. Also shipping is pretty fairly priced

Since you asked: your liner is postwar. Most if not all od7 webbing ones will be. Also when the a-yokes are not rivetted into the webbing and has its own holes its korea-vietnam era.

Might have to do 3 separate videos on this one as our unit does early war, mid war, late war and Fallschirmschule

Oh, and “Richard Underwood Militaria” AKA RUM, is owned by SOF now, they bought the name of RA, a few years ago. None of the items have ever been made by RA and were only sourced by him. The boots are by Nestof, the belts by Nestof, the tunics and trousers by Gavin. I’m not sure about the camouflaged items yet but you can tell when the camouflage is “RUM”
Frontschweine 45 yes I am very aware of this I happen to know Richard underwood he’s worked closely with my group in the past a few of our members are very good friends with him the wools by RUM/Gavin are ok but I’m slowly replacing it with Mundury Jarema and elsenau and the leather equipment will be upgraded to Vincent’s equipment eventually
