Replacing my Broken RV fridge with a Residential Refrigerator | How To
This is a little different of a video for ya. Sorry about the vertical camera but I didn't have my tripod with me to shoot this one!
In this video I bring you through my process of swapping out my old RV dometic fridge and putting in a new residential fridge. Although I'll miss the possibility of using it on propane I figure if I need to boondock I can always use a generator. The residential is much more energy efficient anyways.

    What stops it from prying forward with the weight of the clothing, as it pushes down and against the wall?

      I personally like the look of the industrial/rustic look. So I was going for the exposed steel and wood look to match the bench top I made for my entryway. But I have been thinking of new ways to do it to hide all steel and keep a clean natural wood look.

      It’s actually a mitre saw stand I had for my old shop. I want to do some more modifications to make it better suited for a planet I just haven’t gotten to it. The dark grain area in the center is called pith and while you’re right, it’s not stable, it looks great when finished. The only problem is it will most likely just break off when a heavy winter coat is hung on it repeatedly because of the way the grain is oriented. Cross grain isn’t strong especially with pith sections.

    • @seefeldtcreations
      @seefeldtcreations 11 місяців тому

      Thank you for the info! I made one out of cherry about 7 years ago that has been holding up strong with the cross grain. I think this one will hold up as well. The strength was a concern so that is why I elected to keep the wood as thick as I did. With it being white oak I think it’ll be plenty strong for any of the jackets I choose. But I will keep you updated if I end up with any issues!

    I notice that they don't sit totally flush against that dimpled wallpaper. So maybe some sort of stand off would help. You might eventually see some breakout along the edges between the moving and static parts. Perhaps a really slim reveal would prevent that? Nice design. I think I'll steal it from you!

    • @seefeldtcreations
      @seefeldtcreations Рік тому

      I have had another version that I’ve used for about 5 years now. I haven’t had any issues with breakout, but that wouldn’t be a bad idea! The standoff would be a good idea. Giving it a flat surface reference you could lay it flat and sand it down perfectly flush on the bench in the shop! Thank you for the support!

    Really nice rack, great job :-) . One question : what is your planner support ? this flip support seems to be really handy ! 2 improvment suggestions : in order to cancel the rod, drill both end supports only 50% to 66% of their width and just shorthen the rod. Same for the main support.

    • @seefeldtcreations
      @seefeldtcreations Рік тому

      I’m not sure what you mean by planner support. Those are both great ideas for hiding the steel components. I liked the industrial design, but your idea would really make it look like an all natural floating board!
